The App Uber and Easytaxi work perfectly in Lima. I do not suggest using public transportation unless you are moving close by. In Lima there is heavy traffic at rush time 8:00 - 10:00 and 17:30 - 20:00, it is recommended to use Waze or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps to arrive on time to destination.
