A charming apartment located within the Grade 1 listed Layer Marney Tower! This apartment is situated within the main building of the Tower but benefits from its own private entrance and is completely self-contained. The apartment comprises an entrance lobby with a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, kettle, tableware for 2), a 5-piece modern bathroom (shower, bath, toilet, sink, bidet) and a magnificent master bedroom with a huge four-poster bed. Lovely beaches at Walton, Clacton & Frinton on Sea. Easy drive (4 miles) to Essex University. 25 minutes to Colchester (zoo & castle).

Cottage on the beach

With its own beachside garden and breathtaking uninterrupted views of the wildest of Essex creeks and marshes, the cottage is only to be reached on foot atop a sea wall. The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The last in a row of westerly facing cottages, perfect to watch the evening sun go down . From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

Bijou cabin next to the sea

The cabin lies in the grounds of the hosts main dwelling which is situated within 200 yards of Frinton's spectacular greensward and beautiful sandy beaches. The cabin is within a very leisurely 10-15 mins walk to the facilities of both Frinton and Walton where there is an abundance of shops, cafes, eating establishments and entertainment. Further afield and depending on your interests there are many other outstanding places to visit which I'd be only too happy to discuss with you.

Self Contained Studio in Wivenhoe

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

BBQ. 0.7 mi walk to town high street and amenities. 0.4 mi walk to the closest pub. 1.6 mi walk to sea front.

The Former Exchange is a quirky bungalow tucked away in the heart of St Osyth village. Ideal for a couple or a small family, comprising a master bedroom with ensuite, a second bedroom with single bed and a small family bathroom. A fourth person could be accommodated on a sofa bed, on request. Open plan living and kitchen areas, lend a light and airy feel, with bi-folding doors opening onto a small private garden.

This beautiful unique listed cottage, built in 1666, is located in the Anchorage area of West Mersea. Just a short stroll from local pubs, restaurants, the beach and the sailing club. It is a cosy, quirky and stylish property for two people. Perfect for a romantic gettaway. The private courtyard garden is lovely for dining al fresco on the local seafood. This iconic house is the most photographed on the island.
