Buffalo Range

Buffalo Range, a "destination" Airbnb, is a working ranch nine miles south of Monument, Kansas. The surrounding open prairie has never felt a plow; horses and cattle occupy the pastures most of the year; native grasses, wildflowers, cacti, and succulents surround the homestead. We say we are "half way to everywhere in the middle of nowhere" because we're central to an amazing number of historic, geologic, recreational, photographic, and hunting sites. It will take you several days to see it all!

Be astonished at what awaits a stay in this hobbit like home. In a tribute to a quiet man, this home has been turned into a spectacular place. We are certain Wally could never have imagined the potential the little house held. Be amazed at the awesome decor. Two bedrooms, one with queen bed, other with twin over full and a stunning bathroom. The showstopper is the beautiful living/ kitchen area with glowing tin ceIlings. There’s everything to ensure your wanting to stay longer or return soon.

Relax and enjoy the beautiful, quiet country setting. We are a working ranch family, so you will often find cattle grazing nearby and hay being baled in the summer. Bring your bike/tennis shoes for miles of country roads. Your well trained pets are welcome and we have space for a few horses to overnight too! Hunting nearby is abundant and wildlife sightings are almost guaranteed. Whether staying for a night on your way through or coming to hunt for a few days/weeks, we'd love to have you!

The Steampunk Room

Welcome to the Steampunk Room in the Hwy 36 Hideaway - now under new ownership! This cozy little room is where simple comfort meets unexpected charm! This room is a charming single motel style room located in the newly remodeled vintage 1940s limestone faced motel, formerly the Wright motel. It is themed in honor of the Tri State Thresher Show which is held every July in Bird City. It features 1 queen bed, 1 twin XL, 1 sleeper couch, 1 bath, microwave, mini fridge, TV, and a coffee maker.

Little green getaway

Welcome to my little Kansas getaway. The home has a very comfortable living room, a main floor bedroom with a queen bed and big closet, a nice little updated kitchen, and a bathroom with tub on the main floor. There is a 2nd bedroom on the basement level (stairs to access) with 2 full size beds along with washer/dryer. This home is only 1 block away from Main Street shopping, coffee, dining, a movie theatre, and a world-class Motorcycle museum. This house is not handicap accessible.

Rock Island Railroad Staycation

Prairie Pines Lodge

Prairie Pines Lodge is located 25 miles from the closest town. It is the perfect get away for couples, families or small groups and select hunters. It is a clean and healthy place to enjoy. Being outside with room to run is a bonus. Many family oriented activities include: table games, croquet, walking down country roads, play ground equipment, horse shoe pits, archery, shooting range, hot tub and fire pit. Perfect for small quilting groups-tables and chairs available.

The Cabin

The Cabin is located in the small, rural town of Brewster, just off Interstate 70 between Colby and Goodland. It is furnished with a double bed and futon on the lower level and a twin bed in the loft. The loft is accessible via a pull-down ladder. A mini-fridge, Keurig, and microwave available. No wifi or TV, a playground nearby, three blocks from a small grocery store that serves meals, but the days and times vary with the seasons.

If you’d like to get away from fast pace life and enjoy a nice, quiet, country cabin get away this is the place for you! Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem w all the modern amenities. Watch the sunset while enjoying a relaxing evening in the hot tub, listen to the wildlife while sitting on the patio and enjoying a fire. Read a book in the near by hammock.
