Set amongst native gum and banksia the cabin overlooks the clear waters of little Norfolk Bay. Externally blending in with its environment and internally featuring detailed timberwork using Tasmanian Oak giving a natural feel. Centrally located within the Tasman Peninsula it's a short drive to everything on offer. Close to shops, cafes, restaurants, distilleries, fish and chips, beaches, fishing spots and Bangor Vineyard, Ladybug Cottage is an ideal base for exploring Tassie’s stunning South East.

We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Carlton River Escape

Carlton River Escape was completed in 2023 and built as a peaceful hide away retreat on the back 50 acres of our property. It is nestled right beside our Swift Parrot Conservation Forest area which also shares it space with our local wallabies, wombats, echidnas, pademelons, possums, and eagles. Amid the fresh Tassie air, and the incredible forest views, you will feel completely relaxed listening to the sounds of the wildlife while enjoying the luxury of a secluded brand new home.

The Studio: unique seclusion & private beach

An epic location at the end of a private road is a fully self-contained studio designed by renowned Tasmanian architects Circa Morris-Nunn . Beautiful and wild, historic and sensitive to its surrounds. The Studio is edged by Pittwater Estuary and the Coal River. A remote hideaway just 30 mins from Hobart and 15 mins to Richmond and Coal River wineries and restaurants.. Relax and unwind on your own private beach. Enjoy the art, some of which has been made in the studio itself.

The Shack - coastal stay with outdoor tub

After arriving on popular Bruny island it is a joy to leave the crowd behind as you wind down the private road through towering trees to the shores of sheepwash bay. Designed with couples in mind the shack is the perfect place for relaxation and romance. Set on the waterfront, in a national park like setting it offers an intimate retreat to call home during your exploration of Bruny Island. Home to the bruny baker you will awaken to the smell of sourdough baking .

Orchards Nest - private, mineral hot tub w/ views

Getaway from the everyday and embrace relaxation. Nestled high on a hill overlooking glorious sunrises/sunsets, rolling green hills and orchards, blue skies and towering green gum trees. Friendly wildlife, twinkling stars and a custom made hot tub are yours when you stay here. Fall asleep on luxurious linen. Feel the quiet stillness of the surrounding Tasmanian bush. Pause from the race of life, rest, recharge, connect with nature and rejuvenate.

Marion Bay --A dam good view

The apartment is self contained, comprising of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, separate toilet and an open plan modern kitchen, dining and lounge. The 2nd bedroom can either have 2 single beds or 1 king bed. The modular lounge converts to a double bed. This is non-smoking accommodation The unit is attached to our own house, but is divided by a breezeway which acts like an airlock. So quite independent from our house.
