10 miles from Summersville Lake and Summersville Lake State Park. 30-40 minutes from New River Gorge National Park and within minutes from some of West Virginia’s best white water rivers and creeks. After taking a 4 year break from hosting on Airbnb, last year I decided to build a new deck, add granite counter tops and upgrade our home to top notch quality. My goal is offer our guests a top notch home to stay in and provide an affordable price for our guests.

3 bedroom, 1 + 3/4 bathroom fully furnished getaway sitting on the Gauley River and just a short drive to the Monongahela National Forest. Great for fishermen and hunters, or even a family looking for an escape to simple life for a bit. 1 queen bed, 1 full size bed, 2 twin beds, and 2 pack n plays (stowed away). Enjoy river views, a sand bar for swimming, the backyard fire pit, picnic table, and swing set for the kiddos. Nothing fancy. Quaint and clean!

Whether you are in town for the lake, fishing or the national park, it offers the perfect setting for enjoying the outdoors.

Relax with the whole family at our newly renovated home on the farm. Get away from the hustle, explore Summersville Lake (10 mins) and the New River Gorge National Park (35 mins), and enjoy the peace and wildlife of the farm. Miles of hiking trails await nearby. A friendly dog or two will likely welcome you. You can sip coffee on the porch and watch the horses and chickens. The local deer like to wander through.

Lake Escape Cabin

Welcome to the Lake Escape Cabin where you can relax in a beautiful wooded setting after spending the day on the Summersville Lake, rafting the Gauley River or hiking the beautiful trails at Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park. Note: If there is snow, you will likely need a 4WD/AWD on the hill just below the cabin.
