Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

Set amidst a collection of three charming cottages on our farm, rest assured that full privacy is provided, with your hosts just a stone's throw away for any assistance you may need. Built in 2016, this home comfortably accommodates 2 guests but can sleep 4 if needed. Inside, discover a snug retreat featuring all the comforts of a home or step outside and breathe in the crisp country air as you sip your coffee on the patio.

The house is 82 m2 with two bedrooms, located at a traditional Icelandic farm. The house is between the towns Stykkishólmur (20 km) and Grundarfjörður (20 km), where you can find all facilities you need. The house has superb view over mountains, sea and lava fields. This is a perfect location to discover Snæfellsnes peninsula. From here you can visit the Shark Museum in Bjarnarhöfn, go swimming in Stykkishólmur, go sailing around Breiðarfjörður or visit the national park.

The studio apartment is in the garage next to a one story house with a private entrance. It has a double bed of 160 cm, a kitchen and a bathroom. The apartment is all newly renovated and all furniture are new.
