This centrally located, single level, charming old school conversion was built in the late 1700's and was originally used as the stables for the then School House. Upon walking through the gate you are greeted by a large patio area which is great for those pleasant evenings to enjoy a wee glass of wine or morning coffee. Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Dumra cottage is just a 10 minute drive to Biggar town and a 15 minute drive to Cornhill Castle wedding venue. Charcuterie board or breakfast hamper available on request.

The cottage is the perfect place to stay when attending weddings, a base for work or just a few days away. It is a real home from home.
