The house has a modern kitchen/bath (and furnished with antiques. The house is inside the Castle walls. No parking allowed in castle.

Situated within the São Mamede Natural Park, from Pouso you can walk up a medieval track to the hilltop town of Marvão where "one can see the entire land" (José Saramago).

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature.
