Ideal for families, walkers, cyclists, gastro enthusiasts or perhaps those just looking to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, The Barn is a brand new, hand-crafted home built by the architect owner who lives in The Old Farmhouse next door. We also welcome well behaved dogs (we just request a modest fee of £20 per dog per stay)

The Conkers Country Cottage Self Catering Retreat

The Conkers is in the picturesque Hamlet of Moorwood Moor on of the edge of the Peak District. There are many walks from the door and 150 yards along the lane is The White Hart Inn where you will experience good food or just enjoy a well-deserved glass of wine. The Conkers delightful garden and orchard area provides a lovely spot for a relaxing drink, or perhaps some alfresco dining after a busy day exploring. There is ample off road secure parking behind automated gates.

Conveniently located for the market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, with it’s Castle, country walks on the door step with the added bonus of a local Public House (The Black Lion) selling a selection of real ales, across the lane. Rose Cottage is our 1680’s cottage set in the heart of the the Castle Donington conservation area. Easily accessible from from the M1, M/A42, or A50, and close by to East Midlands Airport and Donington Park race track. Only a minutes walk to the Village centre and a choice of restaurants, bars and pubs. This cosy cottage has all that you might need to have a lovely break. We live nearby, and will be on hand to help with anything you may need.
