Extremely grateful to Tony for organising the house at the last minute for my birthday getaway. The photos truly don’t do it justice — the experience is so much more than we expected. The vast mountains surrounding the property are absolutely magical. Every detail in the house is simple yet thoughtfully chosen, creating a cosy and unique atmosphere. The story behind the house is incredible — we could really feel the love and effort that went into building it. So grateful that Tony opened his doors for others to experience this special place. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it to others.

fantastic holiday getaway,.barely spent anytim in Byron because the house amenities were so good, even despite the rainy weather. Very comfortable beds, spacious living areas and an excellent supply of kitchenware.

Loved staying here. Gorgeous private space. Thoughtfully fitted out. Perfect spot to relax and unwind. Stu was a great host too. Very responsive and helpful with local tips. Highly recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely stay again. the location was excellent, walkable to town and the beach without the hustle and bustle of town. the rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and the best super comfy. we all had a bathroom, too! loved the pool for an afternoon dip. we will be booking for next year !

From the moment we arrived, everything about this Airbnb exceeded our expectations. The space was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the attention to detail throughout the home.  The host was exceptionally welcoming and responsive, providing clear instructions and helpful local tips that made our trip even more enjoyable. The location was ideal—peaceful yet conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We truly felt at home and would not hesitate to book this place again. A beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. The house was immaculate and exceeded expectations in terms of beauty and amenities. Jim was the most responsive host we’ve had during any Airbnb stay. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and the house was in good condition after the cyclone. He was truly fantastic. Because of the cyclone, the private path to the beach was unusable but 200m down the road (Wareham St) was another entrance to the beach which was accessible for my elderly father. The beach is not patrolled this time of year but has shade and was still beautiful despite the erosion/accessibility issues. There was a playground next to the property which worked well for our 2.5 year old (with supervision). A 10 minute walk up the road was a great bakery/coffee, a small grocery store and a great Indian restaurant among other shops. Easy 10-15 minute drive into Byron which has a woolies and is patrolled. Highly recommend.

I loved dealing with Deirdre. She was so easy to communicate with, and we loved the home. It worked really well for us. We would like to come back again.

By far the best Airbnb we have ever staying in. Louise and Ben have done a fabulous job with this residence .. they have literally thought of everything.. felt like I was right at home! Could not recommend more highly for a big family of group of friends. We will absolutely be back!

Beautiful and peaceful location with an incredible view. Paul’s home is very well stocked and has everything you need for your stay. The large kitchen makes it easy to cook up a feast for your big groups. Bedrooms and amenities were comfortable (great to have a dog friendly option). Thank you for hosting us!

very clean and fresh inside out. close to everything but in a quite street with all the amenities you need. kids loved going to budds beach which is 50meters away! absolutely worth it. 5 stars.

We absolutely loved this place. Its set in a lovely tranquil setting in the wilderness with spectacular views of the mountains. The fitout of our retreat is modern and well planned and set out. The kitchen was fully functional, bed extremely comfortable with a beautiful deck looking out across the mountains which made the experience all the more relaxing. Graham was wonderful and accommodating. We can't wait to come back.

Zoe’s place was great for our family vacation. Spacious and clean and we all had a great time in the pool, spa and cinema room. Fantastic location - close to Surfers Paradise, theme parks and beaches. Definitely recommend.

Great place, views & outlook better than photos. Bath tub on deck is great & very private only the cows can see you. only heads up is there is no TV but that was quite pleasant a bluetooth speaker may be a nice touch for a little background music (we actually went out and bought one, otherwise highly reccomended.

Good experience and private place

Thank you to Kushi for hosting our extended family, 9 adults, plus 2 teenagers, 2 toddlers and a couple of doggos. The house is huge, it has multiple areas for eating, relaxing and having time-out when required. It also has two large beautiful outdoor tables for meals, which was very comfortable for our large group each evening at dinner time. Location wise, it's barely 5 mins to Suffolk Park where there is a great bakery and small supermarket. The Woolies in Byron is also only a 5 min drive away. If you are lucky, Kushi will treat you to a seafood paella, unlike any that any of my family have ever tasted before (he lived with a Spanish girl for many years who taught him well). I very much recommend this place especially for large groups/families.

It was a beautiful stay for a few days, would highly recommend. A lovely location and space. Peaceful and they provided everything we needed. The creek was great too! The kitchen supplies were perfect for what we needed with a pot, pan and induction stove. The projector was also great for watching a movie and the games too. It was really close to some great cafes, and they have a great book of recommendations inside for nearby attractions— genuinely so helpful! A tranquil and serene retreat! 😄

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The cabin is reasonably private, so there is no one else around. Lucky for us it had rained prior to us arriving and during our stay so we had the lovely sound of the stream running the entire time. We will definitely stay at the cabin again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and stay at the Salty cabin. It was a perfect location to explore Byron Bay, yet close enough to enjoy nature and peaceful surroundings, not to mention the beautiful views from the deck and large bedroom window. Thank you for the little extras to make it home. All these little things make a huge difference and made us feel special guests. The bath on the deck was so nice, and the candles provided to really set the ambience in the evening. One night we enjoyed the outdoors and the second we loved the cosy fire and a movie, just perfect! Waking up and having our coffee to the wonderful view and laying out my yoga mat to practice was stunning. Thanks Matt and family. We will definitely recommend.

James' place was amazing, it was a great little getaway, kids loved the horse Sam and the cows Billy and moose. the hot tub was perfect and the view and setting when sitting in it was perfect, would highly recommended this to anyone wanting to get away for a cozy night/weekend away

My husband and I took a staycation here for 2 nights and it was beautiful. We felt right at home and the home had so many small details that we loved! The outdoor bath and view was stunning and such a nice treat. We did a late checkin and unfortunately had a miscommunication with the gate code but it was very quickly resolved and Garth even brought us coffees in the morning for the inconvenience! We will definitely be back to stay here again!

It was such a special experience to stay here!! A super cute little cabin atop a hill surrounded by lush gum trees and nature- oh the serenity! 🌳✨🌄 My parents built this home and I grew up enjoying this property thoroughly, creating many memories with my family, especially my late father, Gerry. It was a surreal but genuinely wonderful experience to return here to enjoy a stay in the cute little cabin Thea and Justin have built here, and relax with a delicious soak in the magnesium hot tub! ✨ Thea and Justin were so very accommodating, hosting me for a delicious dinner and allowing me to walk through their home, as I reminisced the days I called it home myself. What Thea and Justin have done with the place since it became their family home - is heartwarming to see. It's comforting to know the place I grew up watching my father care for and put his sweat and tears into building, is being looked after and appreciated so greatly by Justin and Thea with the same creative passion. 💚

Benita’s little Cob Cabin was such a find on Airbnb! It was super cosy, amazing outdoor shower and bath and the farm animals were such a great way to wake up! Benita even took us on a little tour around the farm! Benita was super responsive and helpful and made our stay easy and enjoyable! Thanks Benita!

We had a truly lovely and relaxing stay at this beautiful retreat – the perfect escape from the city. Kerry and Barry have created an idyllic place for guests to unwind and reconnect with nature.The property is teeming with wildlife – we spotted wallabies, water hens, ducks, and even caught a 45cm catfish in the lake! The serenity here is incredible. Amy discovered the lake sits at a crisp 20°C after falling in during a paddle-boarding attempt, but fortunately, the 37°C spa was the perfect way to warm up afterwards.Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We’re already looking forward to returning and can’t recommend this retreat highly enough!Thank you again, Kerry and Barry!
