The Old Dairy, cottage on Highland Farm

As the name suggests this cottage was previously used as dairy on the family farm in years gone by. The house was built in the 1850's, the first house on the farm as it is now. The cottage was also known as Grieves House and was home to the Manager of Dalmore Distillery years and years ago. We live on a family farm and there is always somebody nearby for assistance during your stay. Dalmore Farm is in a quiet location on the edge of Alness, a busy town which in 2018 won the title of Best High Street in Scotland. Set on the shore of the Cromarty Firth, this makes an ideal base for exploring Easter Ross and the Northern Highlands. Alness town centre is approx 10 - 15 walk Morrisons and Lidl are approx 5 minute walk

Cosy 1 bedroom guest house on NC500

Built in 2023 and finished to a high standard, enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located one bedroom private guest space. Located in the Royal Burgh of Tain, off the A9 & NC500 route, this well equipped space is situated in a family garden with off road parking. The self contained building boasts, a double (UK standard) bedroom, shower room and kitchen/diner/sitting area. Large patio doors lead out to the decked area in the garden. 35 miles north of Highland capital Inverness.

Quiet country house, 2 miles from Tain and NC500

Spacious clean house with excellent WiFi. Perfect for getting away from it all - holidaying or working from home in a restful rural location. There is plenty of nature to enjoy all around and a nearby forest/ beach walk. We have tourist attractions, golf course, shops, restaurants & a gym all within 3 miles. We are 2 miles off the NC500 route. Note: If coming by car from as far as London give yourself lots of time, a night elsewhere en-route would make it less rushed and more enjoyable.

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

It’s a great base for exploring the Northern Highlands.

Lovely walks from the doorstep, 5 minute drive to Portmahomack or the seaboard villages of Hilton, Balintore and Shandwick. All boasting beautiful beaches. A perfect base for exploring the north and west coast of Scotland. Great place to view the northern lights. Well behaved dogs are welcome and must be kept on leads near livestock. The Coach House at Manse House

Make some memories at this unique and friendly place. Originally the Coach House of the 18th century listed Manse House, the property was sympathetically converted in 2004. The property lies in the gardens of the Manse in central Tain. It has great access to the main visitor attractions of the Eastern Highlands and makes a great place to relax or to use as a comfortable spot from which to explore the Highlands. Pets are welcome.
