Our solar powered cottage is the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing getaway in Onrus. Mere minutes from Hermanus, the cottage is located within walking distance from the beach and various tidal pools in the area. Fitted with solar panels, battery and inverter, the cottage has back-up power and is ‘loadshedding proof’. The space is beautifully furnished & decorated, stylish enough to make it feel special, but informal enough to enjoy your time at the beach. We offer RELIABLE, FAST FIBER internet.

Walking distance to the nearest supermarket, the town centre and restaurants, Fernkloof Nature Reserve as well as Langbaai, Kammabaai and Voelklip beaches along the coastal path across the road right in front of the house. Orchard and its sister cottage Woodend are situated on Le Vallon, a boutique farm within easy walking distance of the quaint village of Franschhoek, the food and wine capital of South Africa. Each cottage is fully self-contained and perfect for families of all ages. They both have private pools in their good sized private cottage gardens. From the farm it is an easy stroll down into the village main street, but just far enough away to give you the piece and quiet of a rural setting.

This versatile thatched roofed cottage offers contemporary country comfort with a dash of history. It is one of the two cottages located on the owners property offering its own entrance and private garden. During winter, when you might even encounter snow on the mountains, your very own baby Godin wood burner makes sure you are toasty warm. In summer, guests are invited to use the recently built pool. A five minute walk will get you to the village center.

Hanepoot Cottage is close to Franschhoek village. You’ll love the cottage because of the spacious, private, setting on a working wine and fruit farm nestled against the mountains of Franschhoek Valley. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). You are welcome to explore the farm and even practice your chipping and putting skills on the green.There is an inverter to provide electricity during loadshedding periods.
