This is an ideal location for keen walkers, runners and cyclists with off road trails just a short distance away

It is set in beautiful mature gardens and a cider orchard. Guest can walk from the garden to the famous River Severn. Awre is close to the Forest of Dean in easy reach of Cheltenham and Cotswolds. A perfect place for those who appreciate peace, beauty, the countryside, being active or relaxing, seeing huge skies, birds and wild life.

Boasting beautiful forest views we are in easy reach of all that the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley have to offer, hiking, biking, kayaking, zip lining , castles and much more - however if all that sounds too exhausting take one of the many scenic walks from your front door or relax in the hot tub and unwind.

Forest of Dean, The Old Chapel

In the Forest of Dean, the Old Chapel is situated next to woodland with wonderful walks right on the doorstep. The chapel has been sympathetically restored and retains many original features, character and charm. An abundance of pine cladding on walls and ceilings give a wonderful feeling of warmth and relaxation. The floors are original pine. Candles in the evening and a beast of a woodburner makes this an incredibly relaxing place to be. Something a little bit different.

The Three Doves: River walks & forest adventures

The Three Doves is our family home and smallholding, tucked away beside the River Severn near Awre. Two old Cowsheds have been converted into comfortable cottages; this one sleeps four, with a king bedroom and twin. Outside are apple orchards, Burford Brown chickens and our kitchen garden, where we grow produce for Post, our restaurant in nearby Newnham. Footpaths lead from the door across the fields and along the Severn, with the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley close by.

Dene Rise Farm is a spacious detached countryside residence surrounded by 12 acres of private grounds and sweeping panoramic views. Celebrate in style with your own tennis court and bubbling hot tub – the ultimate exclusive venue for sophisticated hen parties, landmark birthdays, or unforgettable group escapes. The Forest of Dean’s adventures are only 5 minutes away. The maximum number of adults is 9. I allow flexible check in and out times if no booking either side.

Wordsmith's Cottage

Boasting old floorboards, original beams and quirky features, this historical semi-detached cottage allows guests to switch off from the outside world. The location benefits from easy access to countryside walks but it's also just a few minutes walk from charming shops, cafés and country pubs. Our first guests used the space as an escape to write their scripts and novels and we encourage all guests to relish in the romance of village living and explore their creativity.

This former dairy is a rustic, stylish, comfortable & peaceful place to stay & explore Gloucestershire. The Old Dairy comprises a king size ensuite main bedroom. A spacious & light living, dining, kitchen area. A double bedroom next to the light & airy main bathroom & finally a beautiful mezzanine floor with twin beds, the perfect hide away. There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor to keep you toasty on a cold evening.

Danby Cottage is located in the Forest of Dean. So close to nature there's a good chance of seeing wild deer right outside the front door! Forest walks, cycle paths, parks & pubs are all within walking distance. After a long day you'll be able to sit back and relax in the garden in the summer, or by the log fire in the winter! Our extended cottage has been designed specifically for family living with a large living dining room.
