Simply Sailing-A Cottage In The Trees

Simply Sailing is a quaint one bedroom, one bath cottage that sleeps four, located at Barren River Lake. The home has everything you need for your stay. Basic cooking utensils, a charcoal grill, TV with DVD player with movies and board games are there for the perfect family vacation. We have recently added a smart TV to the bedroom. We do welcome "small" family pets ($75 non-refundable fee) "Free Wi-Fi" We also have a cabin next door that sleeps 4 for larger groups called, Fishy Business.

Our cozy Riverside Cabin is a place of peace, 15 minutes from downtown Bowling Green. Our retreat is located uniquely, between the beautiful Barren & Gasper Rivers. This is a unique, unplugged experience for a romantic get-away. We don't have WiFi, and cell service is sparse. Prepare for an experience with your favorite person, with nature flourishing all around you. We insist our guests enjoy a 5 star experience, so if there's anything you'd like provided, ask, and we'll do everything we can.

A one of a kind farmstead experience, stay in a newly constructed barn on our 350 acre dairy farm. The Mattingly farm is home to Kenny's Cheese, farmstead cheese made right here on our farm and you have a unique opportunity to stay in the heart of the action, in our brand new apartments directly above the dairy barn. You will be welcomed by our friendly dairy cows and possibly a new baby calf, or two. And because our cheese is AMAZING, we will leave some in the fridge for you to try.

Spacious parking. 20 minute drive to Mammoth Cave, 4 miles to Barren River Dam & Dock. Unit is close to main house, so if you forget something, we have you covered.

The home features a cozy screened in porch, large outdoor fire-pit and covered lounge area, kids play area, kayaks, bikes and more. You are bound to enjoy your getaway at The Lakeaway.

Come stay with us for a unique experience. Pool, hot tub and fire pit are ready for your stay at this unforgettable escape. A quiet horse farm down a 1 mile gravel drive situated on 25 acres completely surrounded by woods that back up to the Barren River Lake. If you are looking for solitude come enjoy the tranquil surroundings, take in the sights of Kentucky or just enjoy the pool/hot tub. You will come upon our dogs, cats, chickens and horses. We work full time and run the farm.

**We are still cleaning up debris from 2026 Snowmageddon! 😆 Be patient! Welcome to the Upper Room, a studio apartment above our detached garage with one bedroom/one bath, and small kitchen. Smart TVs w/ Roku. Conveniently located on Hwy 52 between Westmoreland and Lafayette, with a short drive of 5-10 minutes to either. If you are in town for a wedding, revival, hiking or funeral, give us a try. Winding Stairs is five minutes away and Dollar General is 4 minutes down the road.
