The hosts created this incredibly beautiful home in the heart of old town Udaipur very convenient for visits to palace and other sights and shopping in the old town markets. Everything is up to Western standard and the aesthetics is stunningly gorgeous! Wow The caretaker, Mr. Bhagwati and his wife speaks excellent English and was most helpful in coordinating everything, including transportation, booking of dinners and suggestions of sites to see. They even bought groceries for me to make food at home. It was lovely to have a functional kitchen and ample living room space to lounge in. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite and the terrace provided great view of the old city Neighborhood and sunny spots to relax in and have breakfast provided and made by the caretakers every morning ! It was great to have laundry facilities as well. We stayed 12 days in total and thoroughly enjoyed living in old town at Smiling sparrow ! Hands down the best Airbnb I've stayed at in India in my 6 week trip. From the welcome by Mr Gupta, his passion & hospitality is very evident. The place was very clean and was nice to have the apartment serviced every day. The sunrise/sunset views were amazing. The apartment was well stocked with the basic amenities. The soft drinks, snacks & fruits were a lovely touch and was muchly appreciated. Megha, was super helpful, always checking in to ensure our stay was comfortable & we didn't want for anything. Loved hanging out on the terrace in the evenings, whilst being entertained by the music playing from the nearby roof top restaurants which starts around 7pm to 11.30pm. Highly recommend this place. Sharam is not your regular B&B. It has its own intrinsic atmosphere which I have never seen duplicated. It's artistically original and beautiful and very much in keeping with the spirituality which it engenders. The location , the surroundings and the building itself is very conducive to meditation, introspection and self realization. I found it relaxing and stimulating at the same time and would highly recommend anyone looking for something different , original and spiritually satisfying. Mohan Rao

Beautiful place to stay! Everything was pristine and looked just like the pictures. We had a little trouble finding the property, but figured it out quickly. Our group enjoyed having drinks and hanging out on the rooftop. 10/10 would book again!
