Seaview Cottage Stromeferry

A unique chance to stay at what can only be described as one of the more beautiful locations in the Scottish Highlands. A stone's throw from the crystal clear waters of Loch Carron. Our quaint 160 year old fisherman's cottage, coupled with its incredible seaside location makes for a perfect relaxing and romantic getaway. We will do our best to meet you, but if not it is self check in. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Heartened in the cooler months with central heating and wood burning stove.

The Quaint Wee - House with sea and mountain views

Truly relax and unwind at this peaceful shoreside accommodation with an ever changing stunning view. Ideally located for gentle strolls from the house to the local beach and to explore this Scottish Site of Scientific Interest. Perfect for twitcher and wildlife enthusiasts, you may even catch a glimpse of an otter and seals! This is also an ideal launch site for your own kayak/canoe/SUP to just paddle around. From here you can also explore the rest of the island and mainland at your leisure.

Heatherfield house self catering cabin The Shack

The Shack is a cosy cabin for two that has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Situated in Penifiler, a 10 minute drive from Portree, and close to the shore it has stunning views over Loch Portree. Centrally located on the island, it is an ideal spot to be based. It has a comfortable open plan living room with well equipped kitchen and double, en-suite bedroom. Outside there is a private seating area where, if the weather is behaving, you will be able to see the Old Man of Storr.

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

The Crofter's House, Isle of Skye

The Crofter's House is a traditional Scottish croft house that has been renovated to create a calm and peaceful retreat in the wild landscape of the Isle of Skye. Situated beside Camustianavaig Bay, the house enjoys a rural location, yet is only five miles from Portree. The house has been featured in a number of publications including Elle Decoration, Conde Nast Traveller, Time Out, and Homes & Interiors Scotland. NB: the five-mile road to Camustianavaig is a single track (tarmac) road.

Gate Lodge on Conservation Farm Isle of Skye

Opened in January 2020, the Gate Lodge is a charming octagon with plenty of original character. Warm and well-equipped, it has been completely renovated and sits within the grounds of a working conservation farm. Strictly No Smoking. Only a ten minute walk from Loch Bay Restaurant, the Stein Inn, Skyeskyns and Diver's Eye, the lodge is surrounded by nature and wildlife with stunning views. It offers the perfect, peaceful break. As close to the sea as you could get. Peaceful and private. No road in front. Spacious grounds with stream, bridge and trees. Just the two bedrooms (one double and one with 2 singles). Fantastic kitchen, dining, living room space with 6 windows for maximum sunlight and views and a wood burning stove. Situated at one end of the village within walking distance of pub, restaurants and shop. Perfect spot for watching sea eagles, otters, seals and sunsets. Magical and inspiring!

An Airidh (Gaelic for 'The Sheiling") is a cosy cottage for two that has recently been lovingly refurbished to a high standard in traditional style. It nestles below the mighty Liathach and the seashore, in the village of Torridon and has wonderful views of the mountains and sea all around. It has a well equipped kitchen and dining area, a comfortable living area and bedroom with an en suite shower room. All are centrally heated and perfect for all seasons.

Duich Cottage is situated in the picturesque and tranquil village of Ault a`Chruinn on the shores of Loch Duich. The cottage is ideally located with easy access to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye as well as the charming villages of Kintail, Glenelg, Dornie and Plockton. The village of Dornie is home to the world famous Eilean Donan castle which is only a 10min drive from the cottage.
