We came here for Easter weekend and had a wonderful time! The place is absolutely perfect for a family or small group of friends. My daughter loved the gardens and looking at the chickens next door, the kitchen was super well equipped, the house is super cosy for a nice movie by the fire and Julie was a very helpful and friendly host. I would recommend it wholeheartedly. It's also only about 30 minutes' drive to Cardiff and 25 minutes drive to other attractions like St Fagan's Museum, so it's ideal if you're looking to explore the area. There's a great pub across the road too.

We all had an excellent stay. The house was amazing & even better than the photos showed it. Very well equipped & clean & tidy. We even sat in the sun at the top of the garden with a glass of bubbly. Thank you for an amazing weekend. We will definitely be back😊

have stayed at Nikkis place before, it's the perfect location and there isn't a cooler place to stay than this little time capsule.

This is the second time we have stayed at Melissa's guest house, everything was exceptional. Melissa even went out of her way to treat my two children with an Easter egg on arrival. We'll be back again 😊

The house is cosy and equipped with everything you need. Lyndon is very friendly and always available. We felt very comfortable. So we would definitely like to come back

The apartment is very well located right along the water and close to many shops, restaurants, and walking paths. The weather was gorgeous during our stay which made the visit even more enjoyable.

This suited our needs perfectly. Good sized bedrooms, all fitted with excellent mirrors and lights for getting ready. It was clean and well resourced (lots of cutlery etc). Good sizedblounge/communal space. Easy to get in and out of town. A little noisy, but inevitable because busy neighbourhood. Would recommend.

Was a perfect distance away from where I was working in the bay, and very close to the gym, the station and the city centre. The flat had everything I needed and was clean and quiet, with nice outside space and a very decent kitchen. The host was available whenever I needed to ask a question. No complaints whatsoever!

Everything was perfect! Richard is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend staying here. The decor is wonderful, the kitchen was well equipped with herbs and spices, hot tub was amazing, comfy beds, couldn’t say a single bad thing! This is a unique property within easy reach of Cardiff, but far enough out to feel like you are in the depths of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Lesley is a fabulous host who came up to check everything was ok soon after we arrived. She also presented us with Welsh Cakes, milk and biscuits which kicked off our stay perfectly. I would highly recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet in with your Cardiff and surrounding countryside trip. Perfect.

Perfect stay for our second visit. Only slight issue was a bit of night time noise from upstairs and from the pub one night, but ear plugs provided and didn’t really bother us. Lovely place, clean, quirky, very well equipped. The garden is gorgeous and we love the ducks! Would definitely stay again.

Paula was fantastic, we got picked up at the local station, Paula was very thorough of local amenities and local history which was excellent to know! she made sure everything was comfortable as possible. I thank them both as My partner had an excellent 30th Birthday.

We were 4 people and the place was very nice and beautiful. We checked in late evening but Paul welcomed us warmly and showed the place.He was very nice! My kids liked the outdoor toys which gave us some time to ourselves. The communication was great. Nice, clean and kids room was cute! We also enjoyed bbq and the stay.Thank you Paul.

This was the most amazing property I’ve ever stayed in! From the friendly hosts, amazing views, beautiful wildlife to the overall cleanliness but best of all has to be the location. I’ve never experienced such peace and privacy it was above our expectations. Amazing value for money and cannot wait to come back!

Paul greeted us on arrival, super friendly and welcoming. The lodge was cosy, clean, comfortable and felt homely. Beds super comfy, lots of towels provided and some refreshments in the fridge. We thought the hosts really thought about the guest experience. There are 3 lodges in a field, it’s quiet, peaceful and at night we bbq and watched the sun go down, extremely relaxing. We walked to the Thatchers Cider Tour (10 mins) so the lodge was ideally located & I would recommend eating at The Railway Inn or just having drinks. Would definitely return when visiting Somerset.

Had a lovely weekend here. Nice and close to the city centre. And somewhere quite after a long day. The elecrtic fire made it cosy and the electric blankets were a smart move to warm the beds up. The hot chocolate was delicious.

The cottage was a lovely place to stay. Just a short walk to a beautiful coastline, and in a lovely area of the Welsh countryside. The hosts Paula and Tom were really helpful and friendly as well. We'd definitely come back.

Wow wow wow! We had such a wonderful time at The Roost, and we can’t wait to visit again! Kath has done an amazing job making her place warm (even in FREEZING weather), cosy, and welcoming, there were so many thoughtful little touches that surprised us that it will be difficult to mention them all! We stayed at The Roost for a short Valentine’s break, and I wanted something different to surprise my boyfriend with. Everything was of exceptional quality, including super warm and cosy bedding, sparkling clean shower rooms, a very cool kitchen area with board games provided, environmentally friendly toilet roll and cleaning products, and also a great set-up for bikes, with bike racks inside the cabins and a bike wash area. A personal highlight was the mouthwatering homemade Welsh cakes left for us in our cabin, these were delicious and I could definitely have over-indulged! Kath was incredibly accommodating to us when the weather forecast had predicted a very bad storm, reaching out to check if we needed to postpone our trip, and then allowing us to do this at no extra cost. All in all, we had a superb time and can’t wait to visit again (hopefully when the weather is warmer!)

Lovely location and private, we had BBQ just in front of our Lodge, kitchen and toilets are nice and clean, there was even spare camping gas cookers and BBQs with amenities and a place to sit with roof above your head just in case it was raining. In the morning host came around check out time to check upon us and told us that we don't need to rush with checking out and can stay untill later if we wish which was very nice of him. Very close to attractions many thanks, until next time !
