The Old Dairy, cottage on Highland Farm

As the name suggests this cottage was previously used as dairy on the family farm in years gone by. The house was built in the 1850's, the first house on the farm as it is now. The cottage was also known as Grieves House and was home to the Manager of Dalmore Distillery years and years ago. We live on a family farm and there is always somebody nearby for assistance during your stay. Dalmore Farm is in a quiet location on the edge of Alness, a busy town which in 2018 won the title of Best High Street in Scotland. Set on the shore of the Cromarty Firth, this makes an ideal base for exploring Easter Ross and the Northern Highlands. Alness town centre is approx 10 - 15 walk Morrisons and Lidl are approx 5 minute walk

Riverside Cabin is cosy, spacious and is perfectly sitauated in its own beautifully planted garden with outdoor seating. There is one double bed, a large bathroom with electric shower, a kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, toaster, single hob and kettle. There is WiFi avaliable in the cabin. The range is short and you will likely only get WiFi in the bedroom. There's a smart TV in the bedroom which is able to use the WiFi, and the TV in the living area will need to be used for DVDs only.

Relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife at this unique location, secluded amongst scots pine and birch trees with stunning views, close to the NC 500 and also right on the door step of a Corbet and a Munro for hill walking. There is a beautiful walk around the river blackwater just minutes from the cabin with falls and old bridges. Stable Cottage is situated in a secluded, peaceful 4 acre private woodland, just outside the picturesque village of Garve on the North 500 Route. An ideal spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life with beautiful walks and cycling routes right on the doorstep. The Cottage was once used as the horse stables that served the local estate. It has been tastefully renovated to ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.
