The Chef’s Shed - a farm stay

Situated in "cool country" Trentham, the Chef’s Shed was originally built in 1860, and has been lovingly transformed into a cosy, spacious and unique place to stay. It has quirky living spaces, including a loft, and wide, stunning views over the land around, even from the private sauna which can be used for a modest fee. From here you can explore the region. We are surrounded by nature, and a few minutes from The Falls and historic Trentham with cafes, pubs, walking tracks and a lot of history.

Private space (own entrance) connected to a newly constructed ecologically designed home in quiet treed neighbourhood 4km from the centre of Castlemaine. Queen bed, private bathroom, sitting room, fridge, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities. Set on five acres in the peaceful country hamlet of Basalt, it sleeps up to four people in two queen size beds and is the perfect place to relax.
