We loved this space. Really think its under is rated. The loft is almost an extra bedroom! There's so much space. The walk out deck is very nice! It was very clean and I'm neat freak. Loved the history that was on display. My husband is from Whitesburg and he learned somethings!

We really enjoyed our brief stay in Whitesburg. Apartment was spacious, beds were comfortable and it was a good place to relax. Only downside was that my daughter wanted some home cooking and my wife could have done with a few more pots and plates. We also missed not having a dishwasher. However, overall we loved our stay and would definitely rebook if we return next year

This place was awesome. I don't believe I have ever stayed in someone else's home and felt as "at home" as I did at the Shepsted. It was so cozy and I will definitely stay again.

Great location for college alumni weekend! House was clean, welcoming, and roomy. Had everything we needed, especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen - dinnerware, tools, cookware, etc. Made it a pleasure to cook. Host very responsive. Really enjoyed the house. 😀

We had a wonderful stay! Gorgeous outdoor space and pool - we practically spent all of our time outside as it was just too beautiful not to! Great location close to the town of Big Stone Gap and a short drive to High Knob. Dee was a very responsive and accommodating host! We loved the stylish space and found the house to be well appointed for all of our needs.

Had a nice experience staying a couple of nights in this house. Was comfortable and clean.

We rented the Farmhouse when my grandfather passed away. Patricia was extremely helpful in helping us find several places to rent to accommodate our large family. I am sure we will use her again when we visit “home.”

This is our second time staying at a property Jennifer’s. She is a great host! Always responsive to any of our needs and accommodating. The house was exactly what we needed. Our two boys were so happy to have the back yard. We came in to see family and the kitchen was so well stocked we had a great meal together! There were plenty of towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo /conditioner and trash bags. Thanks to Jennifer for always making our experiences of coming back home to see family so wonderful. She is the best host! Thank you!

Here on a M-F business adventure. Eva and Wayne are very welcoming hosts. Greeted us and shared some great knowledge of the area. The place is clean throughout. Great having the covered carport in the front, kept it cooler outside with the high summer temps. When the moon came out, the back deck was the perfect spot for stargazing, sipping, and talking. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We bought groceries locally and cooked our own meals for the trip except for dinner in town one night. Kitchen was stocked with everyday pans and utensils. The surrounding area is walkable, some small hills, but not terrible. Definitely look into this place if needing a place to stay versus a hotel, especially if you prefer to cook your own meals. Thank you Eva and Wayne for the hospitality, a beautiful stay, and the cheesecake was a delight.
