Go for a walk on the thousands of acres of nature trails filled with wildlife near this guesthouse. Start the day with coffee on a private deck to plan a route. After hiking, return to a cozy nest with a refreshing shower and comfy bed. Santa Monica Mountains/ Topanga Guesthouse The studio apartment boasts a well-equipped kitchen with full refrigerator for plenty of storage, two induction cooktops, one microwave, a Breville electric oven/toaster and an outdoor gas grill. Have your dinner on a private redwood deck and patio, shaded by coast live oak trees. The rental has oak hardwood floors, walk in shower and all new fixtures throughout. Quiet A/C and heat with a designated private guest parking space included. Enjoy easy access to many local beaches and endless mountain trails for hiking and biking in Mediterranean climate conditions. Malibu and Topanga Beaches have world-class surfing conditions. Site seeing, restaurants and tourism abound. Santa Monica/Venice and the Los Angeles area is easy to access. Charming and clean with a comfortable queen sized bed, this 220 square foot space with private deck is perfect for couples. Use of the grounds with over thirty oak trees makes for a delightful getaway or stop over while traveling. We provide maps and advice regarding hidden beaches and locations in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Malibu Creek State Park and access to Cultural activities in the city of Los Angeles. Children and pets are negotiable. The Guesthouse shares a breezeway with the main house. It has its own private entrance and peaceful private patio deck area. Guests privacy is our priority. Once contacted, we are open to children traveling with parents, although there is only one bed. Dogs will be considered so long as they are not aggressive to our cats. No pets are allowed on the furniture. Although the property is on a residential street, it is very much part of the wild land, intermixed with deer, coyotes, and bobcats as well as migrating birds and butterflies. We provide one designated parking space. A car is somewhat necessary in the mountains. There is a seasonal beach bus which travels along State Route 27, Topanga Canyon Boulevard. Uber and Lyft are spotted more commonly of late. Buses run along Pacific Coast Highway from Malibu to downtown. The new EXPO train is available is Santa Monica, connecting travelers to many city locations. Once here, endless hiking and walking possibilities under the oaks and into the chaparral and coastal sage is available on foot. The hosts are well versed in the native habitat here and can advise travelers.

Step through the carriage doors and into an open interior with polished concrete floors, plus a kitchen with navy cabinets and stone countertops. The bedroom comes with barn door, bamboo floors, and 55" HDTV, while a verdant garden awaits outside. Enter the guest house thru carriage doors to a first floor open living space with kitchen, sofa and 60'' HD flatscreen TV. Polished concrete floors and stone countertops. Exit to open, outdoor staircase leading to an upper bedroom with Cal-King Bed, bamboo floors, dresser, 55'' HD TV, comfortable bathroom with walk-in shower and vanity. Wifi / Cable / AC & Heating units in each room. Design is a mix of beach cottage with contemporary accents. 2 Blocks to beautiful Ocean Avenue to watch gorgeous California sunsets or walk to beach. 2 Blocks to Montana Avenue shopping and cafes. Close to Promenade and Metrolink. Unbeatable Location ! Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The bungalow is a separate guesthouse but owners are present on the property in the main house. Outside table with a bench and chairs are perfectly located for morning coffee lunch or evening cocktail. We live in the front house so feel free to reach out to us with any questions and/or concerns regarding your stay. Leave the car behind - the beach, restaurants, cafes, and shops, are all an easy walk away. Rent a bike nearby to explore further. Watch the sunset over the water from Ocean Avenue, 2 blocks away, while Metrolink and Promenade are also close. Rent a Hulu Bike for your stay. “On May 12, 2015, the Santa Monica City Council adopted the Home-Sharing Ordinance reiterating its ban on the rental of entire units as vacation rentals. The Home-Sharing Ordinance also legalized the short term rental of a portion of a person’s home when the host lives on-site throughout the visitor’s stay and when the host obtains a business license. Treetop Oasis with a Balcony and Mountain Views

This guest suite blends vintage furniture and artwork with a 70's-inspired decor. Original wood-paneled walls and countless potted plants complement the gorgeous mountain views and wildlife that can be seen from the windows and private balcony. NOTE: This unit is below our home with an active toddler & across the hall from our office. It can be noisy at times. We overlook horses, so you may hear occasional neighing. If you have allergies to animals, this space may not be best for you.

Modern tree house in the heart of Topanga canyon

The house sits beautifully in the canyon, its organic feel and yet modern design transcends the idea of California living by blending indoor/outdoor through massive windows, incredible ceiling heights and stunning views. Nestled in the canyon, but only 5 min from Topanga town with its shops and restaurants and 10 min from the beach. Topanga Pool House

The Topanga Pool House is a resort like property located at the edge of the State Park, with canyon views & ocean breezes. The infrared sauna, cedar plunge pool, hot tub, outdoor bed and yoga deck provide an escape from the hustle of the city. Guests have said it's "as if you have a resort to yourselves" "spa like" "magical and healing" and that's the experience we strive to provide. We live in the upstairs unit but prioritize guest's privacy at all times.
