Forest Retreat Host Joan and Clayton

The fully separate home is located on our property offering a great space for a couple or a couple with small children. We are located 10 minutes from the East Gate entrance to Algonquin Provincial Park that offers interpretive trails, museums and vast lakes and rivers for day or overnight canoeing trips. Algonquin Parks has much to offer and would encourage you to visit their website. The town of Whitney is about five minutes from our home. Amenities offered; restaurants, gas stations, Pharmacy, post office, grocery store, beer/liquor store, outfitters for canoe rentals and gift store. A beautiful sandy beach and children's playground are located in town.

The apartment is just 3 minutes away from Algonquin Park East-gate. Come and explore the Park at daytime and relax in the evening by the campfire in the backyard. ( Fire Pit not available in the winter ) During your stay we provide a complimentary Park Pass for exploring Algonquin P. Firewood for one night included additional firewood can be purchased on side. Also, a short drive to Whitney’s public beach, Restaurants, Grocery store LCBO Close to snowmobile trails. Available all year around.

Trackers' Cabin-HIKE IN-Pet Friendly-No Neighbours

This rustic, solar cabin has it's own private hiking trail(100m, steep hill) and private parking area. The trail winds it's way up to your private view overlooking Golden Lake. You will feel tucked away in this cozy spot surrounded by mixed oak forest, sitting atop Canadian Shield rock formations. Quaint and cozy 1 bedroom cottage tucked along the southeastern shore of a small, quiet lake. Recently renovated, the cottage is the perfect romantic getaway. It's located 1 km from snowmobile/ATV trails, 15 minutes from Bancroft and 45 minutes from Algonquin Park. The cottage includes a floating dock with swim ladder, bbq, woodburning outdoor firepit, canoe, kayaks, woodburning indoor fireplace, smart tv with starlink satellite.
