A short 5 minute walk takes you to a lookout over the bay and a little further down to the water. The home is well furnished with a well equipped kitchen. Guests have sole use of the home and bedrooms are accessed to suit the number of guests. Please let us know the configuration of beds you require. A fantastic coast for fishing, diving, snorkelling, water sports or coastal scenic hikes - we are definitely spoilt for choice in our little slice of paradise.

Walk to the Beach! (Mangawhai Heads, Northland)

Come and stay at our slice of paradise, only a few minutes walk to the pristine Mangawhai Estuary or 15 minutes to the famous Mangwhai Heads surf beach. Conveniently located just 1.5 hours north of Auckland, Mangawhai is a great place to spend a relaxing weekend! There is always plenty to do in Mangawhai with the Saturday farmers markets, well established eateries, secondhand stores, walking tracks, golf, vineyards, Museum and the best beaches!

Thistle Do Beach Bach is located meters off State Highway 1 at Ruakaka. The open plan lounge and kitchen has large windows and doors that allow maximum light and airflow, while the doors open onto a sun drenched deck with gas BBQ and outdoor setting. Inside the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including fridge/freezer, microwave, cooktop, electric frypan and dishwasher.
