We offer a place like no other. The Mamaku Roost is a large, unique, private & peaceful oasis with easy access/parking in a semi rural setting (but super handy location) 5 minute drive to town, train & beach. Art, antiques, original wooden floors, log burner, double glazing/curtains, modern hot shower, heated blankets, kitchenette, fast wifi, black out curtains. Outside has a covered patio, outdoor fire/furniture, fountain, native bush, farm, garden, beehives, friendly animals. Guests say WOW.

Mt Nimrod Pods: Off-the-grid + hot tub

The Mt Nimrod Pod campsite overlooks native bush and iconic NZ farmland, with views to the mountains. Sink into a steaming wood-fired hot tub under an abundance of stars. Toast marshmallows over the crackling fire. Wake to the morning chorus of birdsong. Stop - relax - revive! The campsite has 3 pod cabins (bedroom, lounge and half bath). The pods are insulated and double glazed. The campsite is complete with outdoor kitchen, wood-fired river fed hot tub and a fire pit for up to two guests.

Our self contained open plan cabin offers a relaxing escape, with comfy beds, a full kitchen and spacious bathroom. The Cabin is only a short walk away to a secluded beach where mussels can be gathered, or you may be lucky and find a piece of greenstone. Soak in the outdoor hot tub, especially if you have done the Paparoa Track (pick up/drop off can be arranged at a competitive price, please enquire.) Snuggle up in front of the log burner fire in Winter. Continental Breakfast is included.

Hawkshead Boutique Studio & Gardens

Enjoy the peaceful open spaces, the rural aspects and a charming and comfortable, yet spacious well appointed self catered studio with shower ensuite. Surrounded by farmland, a 2 minute walk to the waters edge. Wake to a mountain view and the early morning sun. You have your own private entrance and outdoor seating area. Honey House at Ruru Nest

Nestled next to Kahurangi National Park, is the closest BnB to the Heaphy Track Great Walk and the awe-inspiring Oparara Arches. A remote, private garden retreat complete with Labyrinth and off-grid hot tub (advance notice). This self-contained little house for 2 was once a Honey house. Ruru Nest Property is next to a river and farmland, just a few minutes outside of the village of Karamea with its cafes and pubs. Local food, nature connection walks available as extras to complete your stay.

Mangles Valley Paradise

An easy 15 minute drive from Murchison at the convergence of the Tutaki you will find Mangles Valley Paradise. Surrounded by stunning native bush clad hills the property is situated in an elevated position enjoying spectacular 360 degree views with the Tutaki River flowing gently below. A short drive over the Braeburn Track will take you to beautiful Lake Rotoroa in the heart of the Neson Lakes. If you want to wake up to the sound of the river & native birds - this is the place for you.

Just 6 km from Oxford, 18 mins from SH 73 and 50 mins from ChCh Airport, this cottage offers a serene retreat. Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Oxford and a brilliant night-time starscape. Nestled on a large, private farm near the foothills, you can unwind in peace and enjoy the company of some adorable animal visitors.
