An historic cottage in a sheltered dell in the country near Makara Beach, fully restored Te whare iti is 10-15 minutes walk from the rugged Makara coast and roughly 35 minutes from the Wellington CBD. Importantly- you must provide your own transport as there is no public transport to Makara from Karori the nearest suburb, some 9.5 kms away. Makara is true NZ countryside with a windy, narrow road to match!.

Willowglenn Cottage gives you the best of both worlds. Situated in a wonderful rural setting with expansive views. The two-bedroom, self -contained cottage was built in 2012 so has all the modern amenities you would expect, double glazing, warmth, new fixtures and fittings. The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, separate freezer, dishwasher, microwave and bench top cooker. There is a front-loading washing machine and an outdoor drying area. There is also a BBQ. All linen is provided.

Station Cottage, Khandallah

This is a comfortable self contained one bedroom cottage at the rear of a large garden behind our home. Our villa is well over a century old. The train station is next door and 20 minute on the train takes you to the city and Stadium. There’s a restaurant and a cafe just outside our gate and a 10 minute walk to the village where there is a pub, more cafe/dining options, supermarket and shopping. Walking/hiking up Mt Kau Kau and along the Northern Walkways is right at our doorstep
