Very nice place. It was very clean and well stocked. Neighbors around but very private. Beautiful setting. Krista was very responsive and helpful. The decor was nicely done. The house does have a lived in look and the couch is a bit worn. The beds were all comfortable. Beautiful deck and nice hot tub. The pool table is worn with a slope. It was fine for a friendly game, but don’t plan on a serious game. About 45 minutes to Asheville. We first arrived in the dark, which made it a bit interesting finding the house. All in all we loved the place and would gladly go back. Only problem, we never saw Gomez the cat.

Carl's place was absolutely wonderful. it was so peaceful and we felt right at home. Carl and his son were both there to welcome us upon arrival and make sure we had everything we needed. Our dog was in the healing process from being hit by a car and they wanted to make him comfortable first and foremost and sent him some food and even came to check on him later that night. We wanted to extend our stay but it wasn't possible due to previous bookings but we will definitely stay again soon.

We absolutely loved the vibe of this place! Had so many great things to do at the house and we were close enough to town to easily go out! Will definitely stay again!!

A pristine home in an amazing private community. Full equipped with kitchen, bath, and extras. Always great recommendations and responsive to questions. Highly recommend for families that enjoy nature and privacy.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Skipping Stones Getaway with our family of five. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat—surrounded by beautiful views and the kind of quiet that instantly helps you unwind. Christie and Donaven have thought of everything. The house was fully stocked with all the essentials (and then some). From extra phone charging cables to those little items you might forget to pack, it was clear they’ve put a lot of care and attention into making guests feel at home. We spent our days out on the lake kayaking, soaking up the calm and beauty of the surroundings, and our evenings enjoying quality time together around the fire. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. Skipping Stones Getaway is the kind of place you want to return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down, recharge, and make lasting memories in a truly lovely setting.

Karen’s stay was more than we anticipated! Very well kept, with a beautiful backyard and excellent view of the stars! We loved the homey feel and would stay here again.

We absolutely loved this property. The house is super spacious and clean. We choose this location because of the proximity to the nearby Dark Skies park, imagine our surprise when it was literally a 2 min drive to get there. Even better, we didn't even need to go to the park because the location was great, we could see the Airbnb from the observatory/planetarium. If your like me and want to do some great stargazing, this is the spot. We brought our own telescope and yard as enough space to move around and look in different directions. We are already planning to come back here in the fall time when the trees and leaves are extra pretty. 10/10 would recommend. The hot tub alone made it extremely bittersweet to leave this property. Also, their communication is top-tier!

Our stay at Marisa's property was simply fantastic! There are a few properties in the area set back in a space that is as quiet and beautiful as this one. The home is prepared as if you live there, and our next visit will not require us to bring many of the items we typically have to carry, especially if you enjoy cooking! Our children spent each day playing outside, fishing, and they certainly didn't want to leave! Marisa, thank you for being so timely in your response and checking in to ensure we had what we needed! Lastly, the home and deck views were fantastic, and there is a significant amount of gathering space in the house! Enjoy your stay. You will not be disappointed!

This is a great spot! I would book again. We were in a bind when we booked, due to power outages in the area and they were quick to help us book. My only negative feedback is the additional verification and fee they add before confirming the booking. Guest have to go off site and pay an additional $50. I think they should end that practice.

Our stay in this little piece of paradise was so peaceful and serene. The gorgeous view of the river, the sounds of nature around us, the privacy, the incredible amount of work they put into this cabin after the devastation of a flood of the century was simply stunning. We wished we could’ve stayed longer and will come back here again. Friends and family will definitely hear about this place and it will come highly recommended. This place was very well kept, clean, comfortable and has plenty of opportunities for adventure. Kim was very responsive and very helpful with suggestions and making sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

This stay was absolutely perfect. The home was beautifully decorated - thoughtfully designed with so much charm and style, I honestly wish the hosts could come decorate my future home! Every little detail made the space feel welcoming and cozy. One of the best parts was the little creek running just in front of the house, sitting back and relaxing to the calming sound of the water. It added such a peaceful touch to the whole experience. The hot tub was also a great bonus - clean, relaxing, and perfectly placed for unwinding at the end of the day. Truly one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. I can’t wait to come back!

Had a great weekend in a magical spot.

Really great cabin that is well kept. The views are amazing. It’s unfortunate the town was so badly damaged but with continued support I hope to see the quaint restaurants and stores restored soon.

One of the best trips of my life and it all started with this cabin. Eclectically decorated and tastefully furnished, this spot has everything. There was plenty of cleaning supplies and all of the kitchen staples to make coffee and basic food items. They even left me a generous portion of firewood. I bring everything on vacation, and all we had to use was the food. All of the cookware was in good shape as well. The hot tub was clean and works perfectly. The privacy of the creek the fire and the hot tub are unmatched in my experience. The clawfoot tub… everything was to die for. The quaintness and familiarity of the space makes you feel right at home and gives the feeling that many others have enjoyed and added wonderful memories to this wonderful little mountain getaway. I will be coming back for sure!!! Thats so much to Tara for all she does!
