Natural lighting fills every room. The construction of this home was designed with special attention to every detail. The sinks are made from beautiful copper, all of the cabinets were made by a local furniture maker with beautiful native woods. There are so many cozy places throughout the home to lounge and rest and simply enjoy the incredible jungle views. From inside the home to out on the lanais (Hawaiian for balcony), you can rest comfortably. Do you need a soak in an over-sized jacuzzi tub with jets? If so, we have you covered. Enjoy your own personal spa experience in the master suite, which also has a walk-in shower, double sinks, and vanity area. Are you interested in exploring the abundance of local produce and fresh meats that Hawaii island has to offer? If so, we have all that you need in the kitchen to prepare local style feasts at home. You are also right in Hilo town and have easy access to some of the island's best restaurants. Both bedrooms have king sized foam mattresses with extra blankets and pillows. In the upstairs master suite, there is a little space for your computer or journaling or art or whatever you like. You also have an incredible private lanai from the master suite. The views from up here might just entice you to never leave. If you are down for a rugged little jungle hike, you can swim in the beautiful fresh water spring and get up close to the year-round waterfall. There is a palm tree-lined trail right from our property that will take you down there. You have complete access to the home, property, and beautiful - swimmable waterfall. We are currently living in California, but will provide you with our local contacts when your reservation is confirmed. Located in the Reed's Island neighborhood and surrounded on both sides by rivers, streams, and waterfalls—walk through the area and admire the historic homes. Hilo town and beaches are nearby, and the Volcano National Park is 30 minutes away. Hilo and East Hawaii is the perfect choice if you want to an authentic Hawaiian experience. You might also explore the world's most advanced telescopes on Mauna Kea and our gorgeous local brackish water black sand beaches. You will want a car to access the local destinations. Walking from the house is quite enjoyable, but more ideal for sight seeing. Please be advised that the yard is still a work in progress and is therefore a bit rugged to get around. Also, as our guest, you must accept 100% responsibility of your person and your possessions and release all liabilities from the homeowner.

Our 1500' elevation makes a perfect cool, peaceful evening respite after a day of beach going, hiking at Volcano National Park and enjoying Hilo's dining and entertainment. The property features a distant ocean view, many fruit trees, aquaponics, gardens, plenty of animals including dogs, Angus cows, chickens and a macaw named Li'i! Interacting with the animals on our ranch is part of the property's charm.

Hilo Downtown Retreat

The apartment is a self contained living space that is very well appointed with bespoke furniture, fittings and original art. It has all of its own amenities so you should want for nothing. It is located two minutes from downtown Hilo. If you want you can walk to everything, including; shops, restaurants, beaches, bars, yoga studios, gyms and so on. If you are over 5' 10" you will need to mind your head in a couple of places so please be aware of this. We are always looking to improve.

This great new solar home is located just 2 miles north of downtown Hilo while sitting on quiet acreage in a gated community overlooking the Hilo Bay and Coconut Island, 5 miles to the airport. The perfect balance of being in the country and close to everything! Very close to black sand beaches, surf, botanical gardens and waterfalls! Hilo Farmer’s Market, and Volcano National Park. Relax in the hammock on the lanai with tropical breezes! Please note there are entry stairs.

The studio has a private entrance and on site parking for 1 car. A full private bathroom is connected to the studio. Wifi and workspace suitable for remote working.Guests can access a large downstair's lanai with tropical gardens and an ocean view. A perfect place to relax Hawaiian style! Our Retreat is a labor of our love and was built as such. A getaway to relax, hike the nearby beaches, forests, and volcanoes and to simply enjoy life. Our place is a peaceful spot completely off the grid in nature. It is 8 miles to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. You’ll love our place because of the location, the ambiance, and the outdoor space. Our goal was to bring the outdoors in and the indoors outside. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers.

Country Guest Home

(REF TAX ID TA005-218-0480-01) Enjoy time in a small (384 sq ft) self-contained guest shack with full kitchen in a rural setting. If you don't find the sound of coqui frogs at night obtrusive to your sleep, then this space would be suitable. While you will have privacy, my dad stays in the main house in case you need assistance in person. We are located at about 100 foot of elevation which provides for relatively cooler nights.
