The Gather Guesthouse at Silvae Spiritus

Nestled in the Minnesota Northwoods halfway between Minneapolis / St. Paul and the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior, this inviting guesthouse is part of a quiet nature retreat close to charming small towns, as well as Banning State Park, Willard Munger state bicycle trail, and Robinson Park (rock and ice climbing). Whether for deep relaxation, rejuvenation, a romantic getaway, or simply connecting with nature, these 30 acres provide woods, ephemeral ponds, and meadows with trails throughout.

About halfway between Duluth and Minneapolis, 7 miles west of I-35. Please inquire if you have a slightly larger group, we may be able to accommodate! An additional fee of $30/guest per night over 6 applies. Please note that per county regulations, only registered guests are allowed on the property. Other fun places & activities nearby: Osprey Wilds, Kettle River, Banning State Park, Grand Casino, Munger Trail (biking and snowmobiling). Lots of space for your boat &/or snowmobile trailer!

Beautiful ,clean, and well equipped log cabin on 10 acres. Ample parking for cars, trucks, and trailers. Covered front and back patios. Big yard with a fire pit and all the wood you need. An open living room and a kitchen fully supplied with all your needs. It is 3 min to Banning state park and 15 min to Hinckley Grand casino. Enjoy the woods reckoning back to a safer, more innocent time. Near Munger trail, Sandstone Robinson park for rock climbing. Ask me about a intimate outdoor wedding .

Cabin on the Kettle

This peaceful cabin perched on 25 acres of private forest is an ideal getaway. Whether your group is many or few, you will rest well among 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and picturesque sleeping loft, reached by spiral stairs! Stoke a fire in the wood-burning sauna or swing in a hammock chair on the screened porch. Take a wooded trek to the Kettle riverside, or lounge in an impressive treehouse. Savor the smell of pine needles, morning birdsongs, and the serene scenery at the "Cabin on the Kettle!"

The Woodlands of the Shire in the Woods

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in the middle of the Solana State Forest! The Woodlands is perfect for a couple, a small family, or a single person needing some alone time. It has an indoor fireplace for cozy winter/fall nights, and an outdoor fireplace for everything in between. Take a walk on one of the many miles of private trails plus the 700ft, solar lit, boardwalk over Beaver Lake to Smaug Island. Everything is included except your food, beverages, and personal items!

Iron Owl Cabin | Near Cuyuna Recreation Area

Enjoy this design-forward cabin in the pines, just one mile from the Cuyuna Lakes Trailhead and historic downtown Crosby. Perched above 20+ acres of wetlands, the cabin offers peaceful views, wildlife sightings, and beautiful sunrises. Designed by a husband-and-wife team, it sleeps four with a queen bedroom on the main level and a cozy loft. Relax on the patio or warm up by the tiny wood stove for a quiet, nature-filled getaway—close to adventure, lakes, shops, and great places to eat.

The whole group will be comfy in this spacious and unique spot in the pines. The overhead door is the only “garage” thing about it! There are plenty of activities in the area, or stay right on our nearly 15 acres of forested land to relax and walk or ride our trails through the trees. We’ve added a screen for the garage door opening. Now you can roll up the garage door to feel like you’re outside! The screen cords have been damaged so it will no longer retract, but works great down!

Stylle Hytte ///\ Northern Cabin Retreat

Our Nordic inspired A-Frame is known as the Stylle Hytte which is Norwegian for ‘Quiet Cabin’. Here you can take in 5 secluded acres of woods with trails winding down to the private riverfront. Only an hour north of the Twin Cities, enjoy modern conveniences like WIFI (60mbps), smart TV, complete kitchen, full bathroom, a bedroom and loft both with queen beds, a cozy living room with a real wood fireplace and an outdoor electric barrel sauna. Calendars are open 9 months in advance.

Big Pine Cabin

Disclosure: Due to the outdoor nature of the cabin, beware there may be bugs outdoors including caterpillars and butterflies. I stock complementary bug spray and insect killer. There are also birds outside including geese on the lake. Occasionally other critters/rodents have been seen around the property, but we have never had any sign of mice inside. We never intentionally harm any creature on our property, but there are child and pet-safe mouse traps on site for your safety.
