NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

Fish, bike, hike, play billiards, play Pac-Man, Galaxia, play darts, enjoy a movie on 75 in tv w surround sound. Sit around the outdoor fire pit making memories

Historic Farmhouse with Donkeys on Creeper Trail

Welcome to the historic Abingdon Donkey Lodge, a farm stay on the Creeper Trail. We're waterfront too, and have sweet, fuzzy donkeys to pet. Your stay includes the upstairs of our beautiful home: 2 huge bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining area, and a balcony. (Your hosts live downstairs, so we share an entrance.) No kitchen or laundry access. We host up to 4 guests ages 12 and over. No pets, please. Two parking spaces. Please read all details before booking. Cats may visit you. NO CLEANING FEE.

Located less than 10 minutes drive to Damascus and the famous Virginia Creeper Trail! If you love hiking, three additional trails: Laurel Creek, Gentry Creek Falls, and the Appalachian trail are all within a few miles of our lovely home. Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt. Rogers Recreational Area, Backbone Rock, Abingdon VA, and Boone, NC all make easy day trips. *Note: the Creeper Trail from WhiteTop to Damascus was destroyed by hurricane Helen. The 2nd half, from Damascus to Abingdon is open.

River House

The River House is a quiet two story farm house that sits on the South Fork of the Holston River. It is halfway between the trail town of Damascus and historic Abingdon. Enjoy the relaxing wrap around porch where you can hear and see the sights of the river. A short walk from the driveway is the Virginia Creeper Trail, the perfect place to hike, bike, or just walk with family. Fish along the bank of the river or take a short trip to the town of Abingdon to visit the Barter Theatre.

Beaver Dam Bungalow is our place of tranquility & activity. Secluded, yet very short walk to town shops & restaurants, Appalachian Trail, town park, bikes shops/shuttles and Virginia Creeper Trail. Our Bungalow is actually over 2,000 square feet. With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, two living areas, fenced yard on all 4 sides, front porch, two decks & the soothing sound of Beaver Dam Creek, you'll have plenty of indoor and outdoor space for making memories with your family and friends.

With the Appalachian Trail steps from the front door and the Virginia Creeper Trail a block and a half behind the cottage, this is the perfect base to explore southwestern VA. Located on the main street in downtown Damascus, this cottage sleeps 12-13 people with 3 full baths. Escape your hectic life/work and relax with family and friends. The house is steps away from exciting outdoor hiking/biking, streams, nature watching, fly fishing, and great local retailers and eateries

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful and private home on the Whitetop Laurel creek, ranked one of the top wild trout streams in the eastern US. The RiverHouse is walking distance to downtown, the creeper trail and Appalachian trail. Bird watching, fishing, bonfires, grilling, hot tub, kayaking, tubing, tent camping, bike riding.. there’s opportunity for it all on the property. Stay and play in the backyard by the river or explore the town of Damascus and all its charm!

On 6 wooded acres in a private mountain river cove outside Damascus, VA , our cozy, renovated 3-story A-frame cottage property fronts the cliff-flanked, trout-rich South Fork Holston River. The cottage features 3 spacious bedrooms, each on its own level; a fully equipped kitchen; great room; dining room; laundry room; and a 2nd-floor loft accessing the 16'-wide balcony. A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the large yard with fire pit.

Walk out the back door for a bike ride or walk on the one of the most beautiful rail to trail routes in the entire country. Sit by the river and relax or enjoy a campfire. Visit Damascus or Abingdon and see all the wonderful things offered in these unique towns in the Virginia Highlands.
