Cozy Cabin in the Woods

Just under two hours from Chicago and only 1/2 mile from Hagar Beach, this beautifully updated 100-year-old cabin offers a peaceful retreat in the woods. Surrounded by tranquil landscapes and towering trees, you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Tucked along a quiet dirt road, the cabin is ideally located 15 minutes from South Haven and 10 minutes from St. Joseph making it close enough for dining, shopping, and activities, yet far enough to unwind in nature’s calm.

Cabin #3 - The Walnut of Kal-Haven Outpost

Nearly everything contained in these cabins has been handmade on site. From the knotty pine paneling throughout, to the queen headboards, to the buffet, and the shoeracks (several cabins also have our handmade farmhouse tables/benches), we have placed our best foot forward in showing our guests true Southwest Michigan hospitality. The 6 cabins are located on our 50 acre property just 5 minutes from downtown South Haven. The adjoining Kal-Haven Trail also offers a scenic ride into the downtown!

Beautiful Cabin by the River, across Paw Paw Lake!

Come soak up the serenity of this stunning log cabin. Located less than 2 hours from Chicago- Coloma, Michigan is a sleepy little town with lots to offer! Paw Paw lake is just a few minutes drive, wineries and fruit picking, fishing and kayaking down Paw Paw river (although not directly from our property), and Loma movie theater for a rainy day ! If you want to explore just 15 minutes away- you'll be at Silver Beach in St Joesph! $250 Pet Fee required There is a 5 night min for holiday weeks.

Up North

Up North and its sister cabin Green Acres are both comfortable one bedroom cabins with screened in decks on a wooded setting. There is a trail right outside the front door that leads to a sitting area on the Black River. The river is shallow with a sandy bottom. Perfect for dogs that love to swim. Along the way you’ll see the best of nature including creeks, ravines, hills, and probably some wildlife. The cabins are only 10 minutes away from South Haven’s world class beaches and restaurants.

Lots of room to roam on this 6 acre lakefront property. A beautiful 500-ft long boardwalk to the lake. You can see the lake from the house however, you have to walk to the lake through the lovely woods on the boardwalk. This property is adjacent to the wonderful Kalhaven Trail just redone in 2024. Ride your bikes all the way to South Haven. We are on mile marker 13. This cabin is located on lake 11 which is a 51 acre lake . There are two full RV hookups on the propert for rent as well.

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin is nestled to the back of the 3.6 acres of a private wooded land with a short walk to the all sport lake. The updated home features two bedrooms, sleeping loft, family room, washer/dryer, all the amenities of home. Enjoy the 160 ft of lakefront off our private dock. We have 2 kayaks, a Canoe and a small fishing boat, floaties and life vests for boating or swimming. Enjoy a day at the lake, cook dinner on one of our grills and enjoy the evening by the firepit.

The Bear Cave Log Cabin

The Bear Cave log Cabin is secluded with a hiking trail connecting to North Point County Park that leads to the beach. The Van Buren State Park beach/campground access is 0.5 miles away. The Fields General Store is right next door. The Cabin is located 3 miles from the city of South Haven. Relax on the screened porch, around the fire pit, hiking to the beach, or simply inside enjoying the log home.
