'Hyun', meaning snow in Garhwali, is our Himalayan abode nestled in a quiet, charming village, where it sits within a small cluster of villas, hotels, and cafés. It overlooks apple orchards and snow peaks, and offers modern comforts along with space for rest, reflection, or remote work. Beautiful hiking trails nearby lead to majestic Himalayan views. We have a warm and dependable caretaker-cum-cook and a helpful assistant, both are like family to us and make sure every guest feels at home.

Every beam carried up by hand or mule — built the old mountain way. Reached via a 25–30 min uphill trek from the parking point — a proper mountain trail, not a flat walk. Our garden is a motley mix of herbs, flowers, veggies & fruit trees & we love sharing our produce - dad is a master gardener & Ayurveda expert with stories, wisdom & seeds to share. Another year-round hangout is our Tibari (patio) where you can soak up some sun, nap or sip many cups of tea! P.S. How could I forget? We also have a wood-fired oven for all you pizza lovers! 🍕✨

The last 7 years have been an incredible learning experience. Since we moved to the village, the priorities have changed. There was a sense of discovery in everything we did. There were chai-filled conversations with elders and young turks and stories on how homes and communities were built. It's these learnings that led us to build these earth homes. Kumaon has been a great teacher. And we hope we've done justice to her sustainable ways.
