Whananaki Barn - Cottage 2

Whananaki Barn is on 15 acres of lifestyle block overlooking the sea. It is totally OFF GRID so if you love peace and tranquillity this is the place for you! It has great views of both the native bush and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the beauty, the outdoor space, the sunrise and sunsets and it is off-grid!. Tara Valley Cabin

A boutique, sun-drenched and special hideaway set on 5 acres of permaculture tranquility. Your own three private cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

Taurikura Peninsula Seaview Private Cabin and Camp

Comfortable, compact (5m x 3m) self-contained cabin for 2, upon a stunning private hilltop overlooking Taurikura Bay, Whangarei Heads. Affordable peace, quiet and privacy is our aim (1 night stays available most days). Grass camping space available (campers #3-8 will need to bring own tent/bed/linen /consumable items and supplies). The parking area is not situated by the cabin so sleeping in vehicles can only be done so at separate ends of the property. Safe ample parking sites available.

Make sure you pack your swimming suit and take a dip in the Lake!

The Annex - self contained unit .

The Annex is on a small farmlet, 6 km south of Whangarei, with harbour views. It was a sleepout, built in the 1980's, separate, but next to the main house. It has two bedrooms. There is a double bed and two singles plus a day bed in the living area. The living/ dining area, has a wood fire. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated about 100 mtr off SH1, so there can be road noise. There are no streetlights and it can be very dark if you arrive after sundown.

Set on 30 acres of native bush, this character one bedroom self-catering cottage is light, airy, and comfortable with lots of unique details. At night the sky is full of stars. We have carefully crafted the cabins to provide a quirky off grid life and a tranquil experience where you can recharge in nature, read or play boardgames. The beach, along with shops and cafes are a 7 minute drive away and bush walks are just up the road.

Thistle Do Beach Bach is located meters off State Highway 1 at Ruakaka. The open plan lounge and kitchen has large windows and doors that allow maximum light and airflow, while the doors open onto a sun drenched deck with gas BBQ and outdoor setting. Inside the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including fridge/freezer, microwave, cooktop, electric frypan and dishwasher.
