Completely renovated with much care to preserve the features that give the space great character and authenticity. Your suite has 3 separate bedrooms, a generous living space, dining area, private laundry and a fully equipped kitchen. These three acres of forested property allow you to enjoy the quiet seclusion of nature, but remain only a thirteen minute drive to Nelson, and eight minutes from the Whitewater turn off (closer than Nelson). Return from a long day of skiing to warm up in the wood fired cast iron tub by the river or enjoy the six person electric hot tub with lounger and watch the Salmo river flow by. Or dry off by the woodstove and watch a movie on the 4K 100” projector

Beautiful Soaker Tub, King Bed, and Comfy Space

I have endeavored to create a comfortable space that provides a wonderful base for adventuring. The walls are covered in local art, I love showcasing local artisans. Paintings are reminiscent of Nelson and are for sale. The beautiful king sized bed and live edge wood counters are taken from sustainably harvested trees and created by a local craftsman. The upstairs is spacious and features a wood burning stove. The downstairs is a beautiful grotto bathroom with a sunken tub big enough for two.

Uphill Sanctuary

Uphill Sanctuary is a bright & cozy 300 sq. ft. basement guest suite in Nelson, BC. The Rail Trail trailhead is across the road, making it perfect for strolls, mountain biking, or dog walks. Downtown is a 15–20 minute walk away (though the return trip is a steep climb!) Your suite includes private parking, a comfortable living space & a kitchenette equipped with a toaster oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, & coffee grinder. After a day of exploring the Kootenays, unwind on the outdoor patio.

You will also find a custom made wood fired hot tub steps away from the door. Downtown Nelson is a 5 minute drive and 20 minutes to Whitewater Ski Resort.

A great spot to park your gear and enjoy the lake view after a long day of play! This is a recently renovated guest basement suite in a home just minutes from the beach and Nelson. Our 1 bedroom space is completely self-contained and has it's own covered parking space and private entrance. There's a large front yard for guests to use, and locally-famous hiking trails near by. Although we don't have pets of our own, we welcome well-behaved fur babies.
