Loon Sound Cottage, on beautiful Toddy Pond in Surry, is centrally located between Bar Harbor/Acadia & Blue Hill. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a lakeside oasis while just being a short distance from many sites of interest. Visit nearby Castine, Blue Hill, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park. Hear the loons at night, kayak to beaver cove and see an eagles nest. A tranquil and peaceful setting. A perfect balance of rest and adventure. We prefer Sat-Sat. rental but flexible.

Dock Holiday - on Toddy Pond

Spend time on beautiful Toddy Pond in this comfortably furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sleeps 6. The small beach has shallow, walk-in access, and the dock is great for fishing. Enjoy relaxing paddles in the 2 kayaks and canoe, exploring the shoreline and nearby islands, or swim out to the float. Have cornhole competitions on the spacious lawn or relax with a good book in the hammock. A week on Toddy Pond watching bald eagles and listening to the loons is magical and oh so rejuvenating.

Centrally located on the Blue Hill Peninsula near Deer Isle, the cabins offer access to outdoor activities, cultural events, restaurants & shops.

Lavender by the Sea

The Cottage rests over the end of Penobscot River as it opens into the Bay. The Cottage will comfortably accommodate two. The Cottage has a spacious bedroom, full kitchen, dining area, den and an all season porch with rockers. From Cottage there are views of the water and the lavender gardens. The gardens are terraced with a path down to the sea. The Carriage House Suite is available for an additional fee. it has has two bedrooms, a full bath and a sitting area. It can easily sleep four.

The cottage is located on Toddy Pond in Orland, Maine. Toddy Pond is a large lake (9+ miles long) and located between Ellsworth and Bucksport. The cottage is only 50 feet from the water's edge Use of a canoe and kayaks is included. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are about 45 minutes away and perfect day trip.

The downstairs interior is post and beam with an open concept, hardwood floors, tile, kitchen, living room, fireplace, bath and office. The upstairs has a horseshoe belcony, three bedrooms and bath.

With central access to Acadia National Park and all your coastal adventures, the Woodlands is a perfect destination for a peaceful getaway in the heart of Downeast Maine.

This is a special place, away from the world. You will drive past blueberry fields and turn onto a winding dirt road... ending up at our tiny camp. We call it "Upta" because in Maine we go "upta camp." This is a true Maine camp lake experience - a chance to kayak, swim, and relax while still being close to Acadia, the ocean, and coastal towns to explore. There is cell service but no wifi - we like to put devices away and reconnect with nature (and ourselves) here.

SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
