Picturesque one bedroom self contained cottage

Situated on the Inland scenic route [High way 72] and only a short drive to Mount Hutt ski field and the Ashburton Lakes /Lord of the Rings country.For a longer drive Geraldine is only 30 minutes away and the Gateway to the beautiful Southern Lakes . The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Not suitable for infants/children.

The Double Tree Cottage is in an idyllic setting with expansive snow-capped mountain and farm views (seasonal). Mt Hutt Skifield, Opuke Hot Pools, Staveley Iceskating rink, DOC walking tracks and Methven Mt Hutt Village are all within a 15min drive. Located on our 32ha farm, watch sheep grazing metres from your door, native Kereru playing in the trees above you, or head out to many surrounding activities. Note: This is a mini studio style cottage so is very small and priced accordingly.

Fresh eggs from our hens plus ingredients to cook yourself pancakes for breakfast! Or treat yourself to egg brekkie instead. Super quiet and private for a relaxing good night sleep on a firm bed with optional extra blankets and pillows. The self-contained guesthouse is adjacent to our home and contains everything you might need. Self check-in means you may not even meet us but we're available when required. Free off-street parking. We are located a 2 minute drive from Lake Opuha, popular for water sports and fishing, a little over 30 minutes to the summit of Mt Dobson ski field, Fox Peak ski field, and about an hour from Round Hill ski field. Fairlie is a short 10 minute drive away, and Lake Tekapo is 30 minutes away. A great spot to get away from it all! Fully self contained and away from our house, you will have complete privacy throughout your stay.
