Hlíð Cottages

Two houses, each cottage has 50m2 + attic (sleeping floor) 20m2. Those houses consist of: - two bedrooms, one with two 80cm wide beds and the other with one 140cm wide bed, - kitchenette, - dining room, - bathroom with shower The cottage is designed for max 4 people. Price for bed linen will be added to this price €20 per person Bed linen set included: pillow with case, duvet with case, sheet and towels. This modern classic cottage offers stunning views of the Fnjóskadalur. The cottage is 50m2, you will have a big terrace and field were you can recharge your energy. Relax in the hot tub with geothermal water and enjoy the nature, feeling the power of Fnjóska river streaming beside the cottage. The area has great hiking trails nearby. There are also waterfalls, active volcano and fishing spots a short distance away. Day trip to the Jökulsárgljúfur National Park, Dettifoss waterfall and Mývatn.

The house is a small house(60 sqm), few km away from Lake Myvatn and Grjotagja Cave (road 860). It is located in a beautiful landscape of lava and birch trees. The house has two bedrooms, both with double beds(1x1,53m and 1x1,40m), wc with shower, kitchen, living room with a sofa-bed(one person). A large patio with a bbq and outdoor furniture. It is the perfect place to enjoy what the Lake Myvatn area has to offer as well as the North East part of Iceland.

This cozy little cottage is located in Fnjóskadalur only 15 minutes drive from Akureyri. The shortest way is through Vaðlaheiði tunnel. This is the perfect accommodation for people who want to relax in the calm, surrounded by stunning nature. It is also less than hour drive to many of the north eastern nature highlights like Myvatn, Dimmuborgir, Namaskarð, Goðafoss, Myvatn nature baths, Geosea geothermal sea baths and Forrest lagoon. Láfsgerði is by the ring road, highway no. 1 and easy to find. The easiest way is to type the name into MAPS and it will take you to the location. Láfsgerði is exceptionally well located in terms of day trips to all the most interesting places in the northeast of Iceland; Goðafoss waterfall is a 5-minute drive away Lake Mývatnssveit 20 minutes' drive Húsavík 30 min. Dettifoss 90 min. Ásbyrgi 60-70 min. Akureyri 40 min. Siglufjörður 1h and 40 min.

The Red Cottage (HG-00015672)

Our lovely small cottage is up for rent. It is a tiny one and it is a old one but we love it! We are a family of six, children aged 1-12 years old, and we go there whenever we can. We recommend the house for a family with children. The house is situated in the countryside, next to a farm so the view from our windows shows us farmlife with sheep and cattle and beautiful nature, mountains and a river. It is about 50 minute drive to Akureyri.

The house has 6 bedrooms with two 160 cm beds, three 140 cm beds and one 130 cm bed. The kitchen is well equipped. There are two washing machines in the house and two dryers. There is a small stream in front of the house, and the house is located in a beautiful valley with a river. It takes 30 minutes to go to Húsavík, Myvatn, Dimmuborgir and it is 40 minutes drive to Akureyri. 10 people can stay in the house.

We are located 20km from Akureyri so this cabin is the perfect location for those seeking peace and quiet, nature, northern lights or just a great base on the Arctic Coastway.
