Unique early Australian shepherds cottage on 500 acres opposite stunning Mt. William in the Grampians National Park. Self contained cottage surrounded by amazing bird life, kangaroos, emus, echidna, wallabies and deer. Country life with all the comforts. Homemade bread, farm eggs, mulberry jam / butter , teas / coffee, milk are all provided for guests to make breakfast at their leisure. Cooking oils and condiments, assorted teas/coffee/milo, Anzac biscuits and access to cottage herb garden.

Hillrise Cottage

Hillrise Cottage is a peaceful and picturesque property on a hill above the gum trees with spectacular views of the Grampians to the west. 15 km from Ararat and 30 km from Halls Gap, Hillrise Cottage is a great base for exploring the beautiful Grampians region, (30mins away), taking in the local wineries or just relaxing. Chill out in this unique home, stroll around the 6 acre property and check out the large dam, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife. Hillrise is 2.5 hours west of Melbourne.

Mount Cole Cottages - Kookaburra Cottage

Kookaburra Cottage - Two bedroom eco cottage (built 2017) situated on our 13 acres bush property. Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. EV Car charger. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire.

Handcrafted Shack, Halls Gap, Grampians (Gariwerd)

Wander through the trees to our handcrafted Shack, lovingly built from recycled materials, with breathtaking panoramic views over our regenerative farm to the mountains beyond. Inside snuggle by the wood heater, outside relax on a hand hewn red gum deck with built-in bath, outdoor shower. The outhouse provides views across the wetlands and its wildlife! Gariwerd walks are a 10 minute stroll away, as is good coffee, the local brewery and the eateries of Halls Gap. Come and connect!

From April to November you can enjoy the firepit, and if you’re lucky you may spot the 3 ponies and a donkey who roam the property freely. Simple caravan stay. Safe, warm and peaceful. The cottage is light and airy with full picture windows facing the mountains, this includes the main bedroom. A deck also allows outdoor access of the same views. It is fully self contained and you do not have to share any part of it with others not in your group. Both bedrooms and the lounge room have reverse cycle air conditioners, and ceiling fans. Fast WIFI is also available at the cottage, perfect for those working away from home.
