Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

In the middle of the quiet, almost untouched nature you can enjoy your holiday in one of our three uniquely designed flats. In summer, our pool or the river (direct access) offer wonderful refreshment. In the evening you can relax in our snack bar and let us spoil you with delicious food and drinks on request. You can also enjoy our horses and kayaks.
