Thurranes cottage 3

The cottages at Thurranes are 43 square meters. Two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a sleeping loft that fits 2 adults. The house can accommodate 6 adults. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The house is equipped with a kitchen, where you find a little stove, a sink, a microwave and refrigerator. The living room has a couch and a small TV set. A small bathroom with a shower. Hot water, central heating but no WiFi A private hot tub, chairs and a gas BBQ are on the deck.

Our beautiful Guesthouse is in Drangsnes and features in-room coffee/tea facilities and free Wi-Fi in Westfjords, Iceland. Our facilities are modern, clean and you can expect a friendly atmosphere in the mesmerizing surroundings of our area. The region possesses many nice trails for cross-country skiing(winter) or short hikes all year round. The beach is enticing and you can see remarkable bird life and seals. During winter there are excellent conditions for seeing the Northern Lights.

Friendly Farmhouse Víðidalsá, room 31

A friendly old farmhouse built in 1926, that is slowly being renovated. There are no animals anymore except Loppa the dog, but a horse rental is only a 2 minutes walk. A peaceful surrounding with a crystal clear salmon river (a fishing license needed) right by the house. Located in the countryside close only a 2-3 minutes drive from Hólmavík village, which has several attractions, an excellent geothermal pool, a supermarket, a brewery and a couple of good restaurants. Hvammur 2 Bjarg Cottage with a private hot tub

Bjarg is a summerhouse in Bjarnarfjordur, 25 km from Hólmavík. Excellent location for travelling to North/South Strandir or Westfjords. The house stands by the river that runs down the valley. It is a quiet place an excellent place to see the northern lights. Swimming pool and geothermal hot tubs are located in Laugarhóll about 1 km from the house. Outside the house is a fire place, surrounded with trees. Good for quiet evening under the sky and aurora borealis.

Dubble room with double bed in peaceful house

Brekka is a terribly old house with rattling windows, which we try to make a paradise for artists, nature lovers & other crazy people (like us). The house is idyllic situated in the bottom of Gilsfjörður, next to two old barns full of broken cars and other trash. Getting here is a detour of about 15km from the main road crossing the West Fjords. The bumpiness of the road makes it a challenging but unforgettable drive, 4WD is recommended. The views are amazing.

Cottage with spectacular view

Spectacular view over Steingrímsfjord and the island Grímsey. Lovely cottage close to Drangsnes. The cottage has two bedrooms, both have a double bed and a bunk bed over the bed. Six persons can stay in the cottage. Bathroom with a shower and washing machine. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and cutlery and tableware. The untouched nature and birdlife is amazing in this area.

Svanshóll Apartment 2

Svansholl Apartment 2 is a small studio- apartment with 2 beds, 1 sofabed, a private kitchenette and bathroom, free WiFi and parking. Svanshóll is a cherry berry farm, located 12 km off the Westfjord Ring Road, situated 25 km north of Hólmavík, 250 km north of Reykjavík and 230 km from Ísafjörður. A perfect place to get in touch with nature and to visit our hidden private hot-spring.

Glaðheimar Guesthouse

Glaðheimar is located in Króksfjarðarnes a perfect location before exploring Westfjords. Back in the day Glaðheimar was an Old post office and just across the rode was the main store for farmers and people in the area which has now a Handcraft marked. The view over Breiðafjörður from the house is amazing and the sun will not set until 23 and watching the sunset is just breathtaking

Live like locals in an original house in the west!

A beautiful original Icelandic house out in the country side. An ideal location to explore the West fjords! The house has three bedrooms and a living room, a bathroom with shower and well equipped kitchen with dining area. The house is a family summerhouse, but was originally built by our grandfather and grandmother, who lived there for most of their lives.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Our two loving cats will welcome you and you will have plenty of space and opportunity to relax or play. The house is located in a beautiful village with restaurants, museums and a brewery and conveniently located for exploring all parts of the Westfjords, west and north Iceland.

Lights solar-cells /solar-electricity f. phone charging. 50 meters to river/waterfalls, and sea shore. One double bed, one bunk bed , one portable couch. A public swimming pool and showers about 5 km away.

A lovely rustic house by the sea

Hólmavík is a very beautiful fishing town. It is in the western part of Iceland, by Steingrímsfjörður. It serves as a centre of commerce in the north west and has 375 inhabitants. Hólmavík is home to the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft.
