Villa Forodhani is a historic, recently restored spice traders' residence at the waterfront in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Dating to around 1850, it forms part of the old sultan palace complex. The villa was carefully restored following UNESCO guidelines, preserving its original structure. It offers nearly 460m² with elegant furniture and a private plunge pool in its secret garden. This amazing 150+ square meter apartment is situated in the heart of the Stone Town in Zanzibar. On the third floor of the first British Consulate in East Africa., it is a walk through history. Livingstone, Burton, Speak, Kirk, Grant and Nishal have lived here at some time in history. Its veranda has wonderful views of the sea, beach and Forodhani Gardens. The sunsets from it are amazing. Its minutes away from the best restaurants, bars, ATM machine, post office and taxi stands.
