'The Ballast' Riverfront Retreat

This newly renovated unit boasts unobstructed views across Newcastle’s working harbor and the beautiful Ballast grounds. Includes Queen-sized bed and ensuite, with shampoo, conditioner and all linen provided. Fully equipped kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, toaster oven, hot plate, frypan, saucepan, sandwich maker and microwave. Accommodation is a single level dwelling with an open plan kitchen and living area. 2 big Queen bedrooms & 3 way bathroom. The good-sized paved and grassed outdoor area backs onto bush-land. The best beach in Port Stephens is very close. The getaway is a haven thanks to its cosiness, quietness, privacy & location. Suits 4 adults. Only house trained "smallish" dogs allowed with own bedding. NO dogs on beds or lounges. NO dogs to be left alone inside unattended. NO electric scooters allowed!!

I'd consider long term furnished booking! Beyond the French doors in the living room is a view north overlooking the harbour. The morning sun on the balcony is amazing and you can sit and watch the boats come in and soak up the sun. The beach, King Edward park and Anzac walk, Cafe's and Restaurants galore are a short walk away in this historic part of Newcastle. Great places to walk to and explore! If you prefer to stay or the weather isn't great and videos and games to play.

Our family getaway is walking distance to the village centre (with a grocery store, family-style restaurants and the local pub) and a quick car ride away from Birubi and One Mile Beach. At home you can spend time by the pool, relax in the outdoor entertaining space, sleep in quality beds and cook with everything you need for a delicious feast. Our place is good for couples, families (with kids), small groups up to 9 people, and furry friends (pets).

A tree change and sea change all in one. Medowie is the place of tall trees and is only a 30 minute drive from picturesque Nelson Bay. Newcastle airport is a 10 minute drive away and Newcastle city is only a 40 minute drive or a 5 minute ferry ride from the Stockton ferry terminal. A great way to avoid the drive into town, the ferry terminal is a short 20 minute drive from Medowie and Stockton beach is also a great place for beach activities.
