We had an amazing stay at this beautiful treehouse. The host is super nice and speaks English very well. He helped us to organise a Safari in the Yala Nationalpark, which was amazing! I totally recommend to stay & eat here :)

Es war einer unserer schönsten Aufenthalte in einer Unterkunft. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Man konnte von der Terrasse aus auf einen Wasserfall schauen, während man wilde Affen beim klettern zuschauen konnte. Als Begrüßung gab es Tee und Süßgebäck. Ich habe noch nie so einen flexiblen und gastfreundlich Host erlebt wie Dileepa. Er hat uns eine selbstgezeichnete Karte gegeben, auf dem alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten und gute Restaurants in der Umgebung markiert waren und hat uns erklärt zu welcher Zeit man am besten was unternehmen kann. Wir haben neben einem super leckerem Frühstück sogar ganz früh morgens eine kleine Stärkung für die Wanderung bekommen, damit wir den Sonnenaufgang auf dem little adams Peak genießen konnten. Er hat uns sogar angeboten uns sowohl von der City abzuholen, als auch am Ende zum Bahnhof zu bringen. Einen besseren Host kann man sich nicht wünschen und wir bereuen nur, dass wir nicht mehr Tage gebucht haben um länger zu bleiben. :)

Es ist ein super Ort für jeden der Ruhe , gutes essen und einen schönen und leeren strand möchte . Die Unterkünfte sind super und das Personal ist immer freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit in allen Angelegenheiten. Wir würden aufjedenfall wiederkommen!

So far our most beautiful and cosiest accomodation in Sri Lanka. The elevated palm-leaf coverd huts located in a lovely garden with palm trees, pepper, different kinds of fruit and flowers at the edge of the lake is outstanding. The waterbuffalos are grazing in the water right next to the bungalow! We also were very happy with the safari organised by the host. Our driver Bindu always found a way to avoid the big crowd and had a unique sense for beeing at the right place on the right time without any rushing (as it seems to be common in Yala NP). Thanks to him we were able to see anything the park has to offer almost on our own.

Dit was voor ons persoonlijk de beste verblijfplaats tijdens onze 2 wekenreis doorheen Sri Lanka. Prachtige omgeving, prachtige hutten/tenten. Prachtige mensen! Op vriendelijkheid scoren zij enorm hoog. Wij hebben gesprekken gehad met het personeel. Zij stonden ook steeds klaar voor ons. Het eten was formidabel. Complimenten aan de kok! Nandika, je bent enorm goed bezig samen met je zeer hulpzaam en vriendelijke personeel. Doe zo verder! Het feit dat je ervoor kiest om geen Wifiverbinding te hebben op je eigen terrein, vinden wij een topidee! Je komt hier niets te kort !

We love the place. We had the welcome drink and food, the omelet was so good. Stuff are really nice. The tree house is so special!!!

Linton is a great host. He has built the property himself with lots of love. we loved the undisturbed natural surroundings of the property. The tree top open rooms were unique, Sleeping with the jungle noises is a experience not to be missed. Linton was very helpful with our food choices. Since we are pure vegetarian and do not eat meat, fish or eggs, and do not prefer eating in mixed kitchens, Linton was super helpful and agreed to cook a pure veg breakfast for us using our own pan.

Odsjeli smo u kućici na drvetu, bilo je sve odlično. Super smještaj u prirodi, dosta se čuju ptice i majmuni skaču po krovu i dolaze na terasu. Nama je to bilo okej. Doručak odličan, preporuka za barbecue dinner. Domaćin nam je organizirao safari i bilo je izvrsno i cjenovno pristupačno. Bazen je predivan i super nam je došao nakon obilaska da se osvježimo. Lokacija je odlična, Sigiriya je blizu, Polonnaruwa sat vremena udaljena, u mjestu ima slonova koji šeću uz cestu. Nama se jako svidjelo!

The meals prepared by Jeyanthi and Chaturangi were absolutely wonderful – every dish was a delight. The rice field hike with Sudharma was a highlight, offering breathtaking views and memories we will always treasure. The Backwaters is a beautiful, peaceful place and the perfect location for safaris in Wilpattu. we had a lovely warm welcome woth cool towels and sweet tea, perfect after a long journey from the airport. Tarique arranged our safari tour for us, with pick up at The Backwaters and it was a reasonable price. The rooms were great, clean and the air con was very handy. The staff were wonderful, particularly Lakshi and Ikram, who couldn't do enough for us ❤️ The chill put area by the lake is so beautiful and peaceful, wish we could have stayed longer.

Sehr speziell und einmalig in einem baumhaus zu übernachten! Der empfang war herzlich und alles war sehr sauber! Zuerst klemmte die türe, aber sie wurde sofort geflickt! Das nachtessen und das frühstück schmeckte hervorragend! Die umgebung bietet nicht sehr viel. Der strand ist in 3 minuten erreichbar, aber einige mülldeponien nähe des strandes. Keine liegestühle oder sonstige sitzgelegenheiten. Ich bin flexibel und sass auf steinen oder im sand. Schlimmer war , dass es keine bäume oder sonnenschirme hatte, es war sehr heiss! Ich habe für mehr schon einiges weniger bezahlt in sri lanka! Aber für eine nacht im baumhaus, hat es für mich gepasst, mal etwas ganz anderes! Rita

DasHausliegt mitten im Dschungel, das Team von nilanatha war inmer freundlichund hilfsbereit, wir wurden rundum mit Essen versorgt. Das beste aber ist die geführte dschungeltour mit den Guids.wasserfälle, naturpur und tolle Ausblicke . Für trekking Liebhaber genau richtig. Zusätzlich gibt es die Möglichkeit eine tagestour per tuktuk zum Mini littles end zu machen.

We loved our stay at hornbill river camp. the location is beautiful and the host was super kind and helpful. the host cooked for us and it was so delicious :)

Ranuka and Ugi are the cutest hosts imaginable, having worked tirelessly to make our stay the best it can be. Driving us around in their tuk tuk, cooking delicious meals for us, helping when my boyfriend was sick with the stomach bug and checking on him, bringing him medicine while I was out and about and even checking in on us after we had left. We had lovely chats about Sri Lanka, their upbringing, Buddhism and all kinds of topics. The tree house is so cute! The bathroom has everything it needs and def more than I expected from a tree house. The bed was comfortable and we slept amazing surrounded by the jungle sounds. When we visit Sri Lanka again we will definitely come back to say hi and enjoy beautiful Sigiriya again. Thank you so much for welcoming us to your place!!

The Treehouse was a lovely break from city life however still local enough that in 10 minutes you had shops and restaurants. The treehouse itself was absolutely lovely & we really enjoyed it. Prepare yourself to embrace every part of nature, I know it can’t be avoided due to location and venue however be ready for ants !!!!& don’t forget your bug spray
