This homestay was exactly as shown in the pictures, the host was really responsive, friendly.During our stay the weather in gangtok was really unpredictable, due to that there is no electricity, water. But the host make sure we are comfortable and kept checking on us. The host guided us really well and she is the best host.

The stay was very comfortable. Perfect for a family. Everything was very neat and clean and the place was spacious as well. The location was also pretty good as it was nearby to all the gangtok main points. We are very happy to have opted HOUSE OF MEESU for our stay in Gangtok.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy Airbnb in Darjeeling! The location was perfect—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet close to Mall Road, restaurants, and local attractions like the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Darjeeling Toy Train. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the stay, offering great recommendations for local food and hidden viewpoints.

Stayed for 4 nights and must tell you that it was very good experience. The place is comfortable and cozy, easy to reach, prominent location. And the view from rooms is something which very few places in darjeeling may offer. Kitchen was fully equipped. Mr. Aswath, the host, is very helpful, proactive ,very polite. Would recommend to everyone.

Our recent stay at Darjeeling Dhiraj’s Homestay was truly delightful. Despite the homestay being located about 200 meters up a steep hill, it is manageable for us. My family, including my 65-year-old father, had no trouble reaching the homestay, and the effort was well worth it. The location offers a breathtaking terrace view, perfect for soaking in the serene beauty of Darjeeling. The amenities were well-maintained, and cleanliness was up to the mark, adding to the comfort of our stay. One of the standout aspects was the exceptional hospitality. The hosts were consistently responsible and helpful, ensuring that our visit was smooth and enjoyable. Their warm and accommodating nature truly made our trip more meaningful and comfortable. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung hat alles was man benötigt. Sie ist gemütlich und modern eingerichtet. Tshegyal war immer erreichbar und hat uns bei Fragen geholfen. Die Unterkunft liegt in ruhiger Lage, ein bisschen entfernt vom Zentrum. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heyagriva, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. The room was well-equipped with all the essential amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. Our host was absolutely fantastic—attentive and accommodating. The highlight was the balcony view; on a clear day, you get a stunning glimpse of the majestic Kanchenjunga.

It was our First visit to Darjeeling, and we should say we never felt we were away from home. Thanks to Amit for providing such a wonderful experience through out our stay. food was really tasty and was served hot. Dining area was providing a great view of the town.

Swaroop’s house is beautifully curated with a lot of thought about prospective guests. It is huge and can house easily 10-12 people. The food provided was homemade and delectable. Swaroop and his team were helpful and made us feel right at home. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. My one warning would be: if you are driving here- please note the last 5 mins of the drive is wobbly and can make going out by car a task. Walking is fine though. Recommend 🌸

What's special about this place? EVERYTHING!! 1. Hospitality: to be honest ...it didn't feel like we were away from home for even once. The owners are very warm hearted, loving and take care of everything without even leaving anything to complain about. They even invited us in for traditional drink - Tongba (I am sorry, if i have murdered the spelling). It was really inspiring to see how they have preserved their traditional values like this. 2. Location: This place little bit off the main road which leads to the most amazing feature of this place - serenity. You will listen to the rooster at 4 in the morning, the moment sun rises , birds starts chirping. The impeccable view of sunrays falling on the kanchenjunga peak is beyond explanation. And the lush green surroundings with Rhododendrons all over the place will make you fall in love with this place. 3. Food: They cook the food with lot of love and nutrients. Although, sikkim is an organic state but their food quality will make you lick your fingers everytime you take a bite. Cleanliness: Sparkling clean!! That's all I want to say. I just want to give one example about how they took care of every teenie tiny thing when we were there: "They put one pair of scissors for cutting the coffee sachets in the room. " I have never seen such gesture anywhere. I just loved this place .

We had an awesome stay, the view from balcony is just beautiful. The caretaker are extremely helpful. My daughter had a fun time with Aradhya , she is yogita s niece. The food prepared by them was simple and tasty. They even helped us with luggage and cab booking. Just one advice while reaching the property enter the village from zoo side and not happy valley tea garden bcoz the road is very scary.

If you like to spend your vacation away from the city's hustle and bustle and like to be in the nature lap where birds sound will give you a morning alarm, then this is the perfect place for you. The host was very helpful. Shreya's brother Suraj and his wife were there. When we reached the place, they served us an awesome homemade lunch and tea and then gave us a nature walk around the property. Their very friendly dog was a special attraction for our daughter. Suraj sir has even explained how they pluck tea leaves and dry them to make tea to our daughter. Even on the day of check out, we had to leave early morning, around 6 am, but Suraj sir was kind that he even brought tea on that morning without even mentioning it. It really felt like home. We even saw the sunrise from our cottage view was literally awesome. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. The only thing is you need to hike a little to enter the cottage, but they will definitely help you with your luggage.

Here's a detailed review from our experience - The place was pretty easy to spot using GMaps and the guidance given by Mr Yougal. He's been extremely generous and hospitable throughout our stay. The house is equipped with possibly every utility one could think of. Every nook and corner has something to offer, extreme attention to detail. For instance, one can even find a large umbrella for those downpours (When you're not prepared! 😛). The living area is laden with items like snacks, tea, coffee, etc nicely tucked into the tight spaces. Location also is pretty central, one can easily find taxis to plan commutes anywhere in Darjeeling. Mr Yougal can help connect with friendly local cab drivers to plan any travel.

Fantastic place. Quiet (which was great as there was a festival on - rock- and this was out of the noise). The stroll into town was so enjoyable (note if walking is hard and being amongst the bustle is key then this might be a stretch). The views from two bedrooms are breathtaking- I’m not sure anywhere else would have this view. It was warm with lots of heating and hot water. Large kitchen. Large Lounge. Lots of places to be together or apart if you needed respite from each other. Very easy to communicate with. Everything works well.

The place was exactly as described—peaceful, pleasant, and truly enjoyable. Tenjing and Urgen were exceptionally cooperative and helpful, always going the extra mile to share their valuable local insights. My family thoroughly enjoyed the entire stay and left completely satisfied. We hope to visit again soon!

The host: Samridhi is a very responsive and helpful host. The cab driver she referred was super reliable, the tea supplier was excellent. Amenities: The homestay is beautiful, clean and comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Its cozy and very comfortable. It can accommodate upto 3 people. View: The balcony overlooks Happy Valley Tea Estate and the view is gorgeous. Definitely the highlight. Location: Excellent- a 20 minute walk from the centre of the city. Food: Food at the homestay was simple and tasty. The building has multiple flats which makes it a good choice for bigger groups too. I'd definitely recommend Magnolia Homestay to anyone who's visiting Darjeeling.

My family enjoyed the stay at Orchid Stays. Kids were very comfortable too.
