The Hobbit House

The Hobbit House is a modern take on the traditional Zulu Hut; full of character and charm. An open plan kitchen is well equipped with stove, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. The well-established garden has a splash pool and private barbeque/braai area. We service rooms daily and offer guests a bouquet of DSTV channels for any rainy days. Sports lovers can view games on our big screen TV at The Tree Pub & Kitchen. The Hobbit House has a backup generator for the occasional power outages.

The Cottage - Joy River Backpackers

The Cottage Is self-catering and a sleeper unit only & contains, one double and one 3/4 bed. Bedding is provided and mosquito net. Ablutions (flush toilet and shower) are apart but dedicated to your accommodation. Joy River Backpackers is situated at the very beginning of the Blyde River Canyon. A genuine African village experience, rustic & laid-back atmosphere prevails and the buildings serenely blend into that of the village. The water is potable.

Welcome to Streamside Geodome, a truly exceptional accommodation nestled alongside a gentle stream on the enchanting La Bruyere farm, which is conveniently located near the charming town of Tulbagh. NB: This is a luxury glamping destination. Please note the cabin and bathroom are semi-enclosed and only the dome bedroom is fully enclosed. For the Winter months, please pack warm.

The Karoo Glamping Dome

Elegant domed glamping in the secure Camdeboo Conservancy, 25 mins drive from the historic town Graaff-Reinet in the Karoo. This Camdeboo valley is a place of silence, stillness & space. Views forever and ever. Easy access road, no need for 4x4 vehicle. Children are welcome on request, two children can be accommodated on folding camping matresses.

THE ZULU HUT - A UNIQUE AFRICAN EXPERIENCE

Situated in a safe, crime-free area, with tar roads all the way, is the Zulu Hut. It has traditional Zulu decor. Lying in bed you have an amazing view of the beautiful Drakensberg mountains. Lots to see and do in the area. The little rock pool is ideal for cooling off. On the same property is INKUNZI CAVE and DIDDLY SQUAT, which are listed separately.

Sunset Dome

We are proud to present the Geodome experience, nestled up against the Witzenberg mountain range about 9km from the historic town of Tulbagh. We have created this unique rental situated in our favourite part of a 222 hectare farm. Swimming, fishing, mountain biking, hiking and enjoying nature are some of the favourite activities our guests enjoy.

Moonrise Dome

The Moonrise Dome site is perched on a hill with panoramic views of the Witzenberg mountain range. Overlooking a private dam for swimming and the start of a hiking trail to a waterfall, guests can immerse themselves in the natural splendour that our farm has to offer.
