Hogsback Vacation Rental and Homes Samadhi Cottage

Samadhi Cottage is nestled in the heart of the magical and mystical Amatola Mountains, in the village of Hogsback Eastern Cape. Samadhi Cottage is perfect for couples on a romantic weekend getaway, or a "get back to nature antidote" from the city. The cottage is a 5 minute drive (15 minute walk) from the shops and restaurants. There is a double bed downstairs in the living room and upstairs three single beds suitable for older children or young adults that can climb steep, narrow stairs.

*** PLEASE NOTE: Suitable for high clearance / SUV / off-road / 4X4 vehicles only during the rainy season: January - April 2023. Our gravel roads are tricky to navigate with small cars with all the water damage. *** This romantic getaway lies amongst the hills of the Thomas River valley, just 70km from the beautiful Hogsback. More than a century old, our little stone cottage tells the tale of a once-flour-mill and a dearly loved Aunty Georgie who called it her home for nearly 30 years.

Woodside Gardens is offering this 6 sleeper cottage (2 queen and 1 double bed) with fully equipped self-catering facilities and full access to one of Hogsback's finest gardens. We are pet and child friendly with a safe premises. The experience is private and allows you, your family and friends to get some much needed peace amongst birdsong and lush trees.

Wild Fox Hill eco-cabin

My cozy yet spacious rustic eco-cabin is nestled in a beautiful natural setting with spectacular mountain views and is well positioned to enjoy beautiful morning and afternoon light. Watch the full moon rise over the Hogsback mountains, enjoy dazzling sunsets or a large bonfire under the stars. It is a perfect place for couples seeking a relaxing and romantic weekend, a family or friendship getaway or a place to work (wifi reception is good and there is a large worktable).

Romantic Studio-Cottage at Maple Grove in Hogsback

Studio cottage with king bed and single "stack" beds. These beds are ideal for 2 children sharing with parents. As it is open-plan it is only suitable for a couple or small family. Fully equipped, Wi-Fi, TV, Fireplace. Fridge, oven/hob & microwave. There is no washer and dryer in The Cottage but laundry can be done in the communal laundry at a nominal charge. Please note that Wi-fi signal can be sporadic especially in summer with all the trees in leaf.

Katberg House 101

A lovely 4 bedroom home situated in the beautiful Katberg Eco Golf Estate. Set on a spectacular 400-hectare estate high in the Winterberg Mountains. This tranquil mountain retreat offers an 18 hole championship golf course, superb club house and pool in a secure, secluded estate. The home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus an outside bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Enjoy mountain views while sitting around a lovely big fire pit surrounded by nature.

The Gallery @ Ilifu is a cosy, romantic self-catering home-away-from-home filled with beautiful artwork, on 2 hectares of forest mountain side in the quaint little village of Hogsback in the Eastern Cape about 3km from the village centre. Bramber Cottage is a modern self-catering accommodation set in a tranquil , beautiful park-like garden with mature trees. It is easily accessible by any vehicle. The property is located on a major road and is fully fenced with an electrically operated gate. It is within a walking distance to The Edge, The Eco Shrine and to several beautiful walks. The property is entirely independent from Eskom power supply.

Our guest cottages are located in a private garden of mature indigenous and exotic trees. These self-catering units consist of three cottages (Yellowwood, Copper Beech and Magnolia) under a single roof. Each cottage is self-contained with separate entrances and entertainment decks designed to ensure your privacy and comfort, and sleeps a maximum of 4 guests in 2 bedrooms.
