Situated just 20 minutes from Bright, this masterpiece of Australian landscape is cradled by mountains, Happy Valley Creek and 20 acres of delightful farmland. Take a verandah seat to watch the morning mist quietly rise. Observe the abundant wildlife who are happy to call Oro home, or be intoxicated by the afternoon ‘golden hour’. Oro, a place of provision, unfolding beauty, rest and refreshment.

Rest and refuel at our peaceful & modern retreat. The perfect end to a day of adventure in the beautiful Kiewa Valley. Whether your appetite is for skiing, riding, golfing, fishing, kayaking, bushwalking or simply relaxing and taking in the beauty of the valley you will have a tranquil base at the Days End. Conveniently located a short stroll from town you will find a supermarket, cafes, pool and pubs. Just 30 minutes drive to Falls Creek, next door to Big Hill Bike Park and close to the river.

The Stables - Farm at Freeburgh on Ovens River

With direct, private access to the Great Valley Trail and the Ovens River, The Stables provides luxurious bespoke accommodation and complimentary mountain bikes for your stay. Located on 10 acres, The Stables is an outbuilding to the family home, along with our farm stay, The Barn. Within 10 minutes to the tourist town of Bright, and in close proximity to Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, only a short 45 minute drive away for hiking & skiing. Horse stays are also an option, with trail riding close by!

Burrowes Rest is a private getaway for couples, friends or families that want to slow down and enjoy a carefully curated space. Regional wine and food shared around the fire, fishing by the river and days spent visiting local attractions, such as, Powers Lookout, Paradise Falls and family owned wineries.

Bright Lavender Farm. Mud Brick Miners Cottage 1

This unique and tranquil experience, Your very own mud brick miners cottage on a lavender farm that has fantastic views. 5km to Bright. Also near by is the Rail trail, Golf course and walking tracks, Mount Buffalo and its historic chalet. With an adequate equipped kitchen and a BBQ on your own veranda.Great sunsets, starry nights, wood fire and a nearby mountain stream also on the property. The lavender is in flower from around mid Dec before getting harvested in Feb to make essential oil.

Avalon House: The Mine Managers

The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. With a private pet friendly courtyard, it is in the centre of town walking distance to Cafes, Parks, Rivers, Pubs and all Harrietville has to offer.

The Tin Pod

This light, Bright, modernly appointed space, located right on the edge of beautiful bush land to explore will instantly transport you to a more relaxed state of being. A perfect couples retreat to rejuvenate the body and mind. Alternatively if you seek a more active getaway there are walks to be done, cafes to visit, mountain bike trails to explore, snowfields to conquer.....all on the doorstep of “The Tin Pod”.

Our Hotham Home with a View

This apartment is our winter home, we invite you to share it during the summer months. Perfect for couples or a small family to spend time biking or hiking the trails of Mt Hotham Alpine Resort and into the surrounding Alpine National Park, or just spending a cool summer break in the mountains. This small but fully functional two bedroom apartment is modestly furnished over two levels - a bathroom and open plan kitchen/living space downstairs and bedrooms upstairs.

Bushies Love Shack

Welcome to Bushies Love Shack. The naming of the love shack came about upon purchasing the property some 8 years ago. Fay's father, at the time 90 years of age, and his girlfriend, 91 years of age, automatically named it the Love Shack as they envisaged, once renovated, them sitting in bed, playing cards and taking in the view and so the name stuck. In keeping with the name, we have created a luxurious, romantic space for two.
