The Carriage House: Beautiful Farmland Views.

The Carriage House is the second floor of our cedar stables that was turned into an apartment years ago. It was completely redone this spring and professionally decorated to make it a cozy + luxe retreat with views to die for. While we no longer use the stables to house animals we still keep a few head of cattle + sheep in the pasture for your enjoyment. The wall of windows along the back of the apartment offer you the most stunning views of the surrounding farmland and an unforgettable sunrise.

Sitting at the base of the Historic Neversink Mountain, this property provides a wonderful place for recreation or relaxation. If staying here for business or a getaway you will not be disappointed. Enjoy the beautiful 900 acres of The Neversink Mountain Preserve. This property is a private setting, yet close to the sights and sounds of urban life. The house is located close to attractions such as the Santander Arena, Reading Phillies, great restaurants, local colleges and the Reading Hospital.

The Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead is the oldest restored Amish property in Berks County, bought by Immigrant Nicholas Stoltzfus (ancestor of all Stoltzfus descendants in America) in 1771. You will be staying in a peaceful and cozy barn loft apartment with a private entrance beside the stone house. You can enjoy the flower gardens and birds, tour the house, take a bike ride or picnic on the lawn. Adjacent to the property is the Union Canal Towpath on the Tulpehocken Creek.

Overlooking beautiful pastures, the cottage was formerly the large painting studio of Delaware Valley artist Peter Sculthorpe. Tucked into the woods of the Texter Mountain, our little home is a custom built modern getaway. Its beautiful timber framework, high steel beams for suspension, and glass front makes for the perfect retreat.
