You know your holiday has begun as soon as you arrive at Carrick Shore. It's beautiful sea views and restful atmosphere create a holiday to remember. Tucked away on the beautiful Galloway Coast in the South West of Scotland, this delightful pine chalet has all the comforts for a relaxed break. Set in its own grounds, this chalet is part of a group of beach houses, a stones throw from the sea. You just need to step out onto the decking to enjoy the views and interact with the local wildlife.

This bespoke, purpose built wooden chalet features open plan living kitchen and dining area with wood burning stove and two spacious en-suite bedrooms with super king beds, that can be converted to twin beds. All rooms open onto a private patio with outdoor seating so you can relax and enjoy spectacular views and sunsets over the Fleet Valley National Scenic Area; then once the sun goes down, enjoy the stunning star-filled night skies of the Galloway Dark Sky Park. Use of a wood fired sauna.

Shore Escape is a self-catering, coastal, family-run, handcrafted retreat with sea views and a stones throw from the shore line of Carsluith Bay. It is situated on the edge of the UK's first Dark Sky Park and situated on the South Coast 300 route. Cedar View is a luxury stable conversion sharing the same fantastic views as 3littlehuts that can be enjoyed from your own enclosed verandah. Sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms, the first bedroom is a Superking and is a larger bedroom, the second is a Superking in a smaller bedroom. Depending on the weather, you can luxuriate in the outdoor bath, or be cozy beside the wood burning stove enjoying a sea view. A perfect destination for exploring Galloway and is 1/2 mile from GGS Yard Wedding venue.

Carrick Shore, Coastal home private entry to beach

Spacious beach house with private enclosed garden, ample parking area with private access down to the beach. Well equipped for family life. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. TV and Wifi. Plenty of games and books etc for the young ones. Carrick Bay has plenty of opportunities to fish, swim, walk, cycle, sail, canoe, windsurf or paddle board. Or of course just chill with a cold drink and stargaze. Friday check in, 3 night minimum booking in winter months and minimum 7 days from April to November.

The Lairds Bothy at Knockbrex Castle

Visitors to this wonderful area can stay within the grounds of Knockbrex Castle. The area is a walkers and biking paradise and just a short walk (5-10 minutes) to various beaches. Travel a little to sample the delights in the local area like the chocolate of the Cocoabean Company. Enjoy a walk to the local pubs for lunch at Gatehouse of Fleet or Borgue. For a special evening meal The Ship Inn at Gatehouse of Fleet has lovely locally produced food. car essential, no public transport.

Rural retreat with fabulous panoramic views

Netherthird is a stunning detached farmhouse set in a wonderfully elevated position, with the most glorious views of the surrounding Galloway Hills. Netherthird was fully renovated in 2020 and has been lovingly furnished to ensure a truly comfortable and welcome family retreat. There is an amazing barbecue hut, with charcoal barbecue and ample seating, perfect for enjoying with friends and a glass or two of wine. Relax in the large hot tub taking in the clear dark skies at night.
