Entire Nino's Guesthouse Orulu

I’m leaving Nino’s house feeling full of love, peace, rest and food. The guest house where we lived is a spacious, clean and homey, surrounded by gardens, all you hear is animals and birds, all you smell is pure village air… The house has everything you need, like living on a villa. The kitchen is outside but we didn’t need it at all cause Nino stuffed us with terrific georgian food. There is either wild beach or cultured, 10 minutes drive from home. People are sweet and funny. Animals too. A peaceful, happy place. Would love to come again.

Äußerst freundliche Familie, sehr reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück, ruhig gelegenes Grundstück mit schöner Wiese abseits des Touristenrummels. Das Bergsteigermuseum nebenan ist sehr zu empfehlen (man kann auf das Dach des Turms klettern).

It’s a magnificent place in a small pretty village in Samegrelo, run by a few foreigner friends who moved to Georgia several years ago. It’s a bit “hippy”, so you don’t expect luxury and you need to be ready to share a bathroom, but the hosts and the house are so cool that it’s totally worth of it. I definitely recommend to stay at Karma Hostel.

Von der Unterkunft hat man einen schönen Blick auf Ushguli. Unsere gebuchten Zimmer waren bei unserer Ankunft noch nicht alle fertig, aber das wurde relativ schnell erledigt. Wir erhielten tolle Hinweise, was im Ort sehenswert ist und griffen diese auch auf. Frühstück bekamen wir leider nicht, konnten aber ein nahes Restaurant nutzen.

Secluded house in the mountains.

Antonina was very helpful and responsive, we didnt get to meet her, but we had contact with her on Airbnb. Georgi was the one who picked us up from Mestia and drove us in his small suzuki to his place up in the wild. Georgi was the best host we had in Georgia! Even though there was a language barrier, we had wonderful conversations and exchanges via google translate. Georgi made us tea, coffee, breakfast and dinner (he is a very good cook!!) Georgi is one of the kindest souls you could have as a host. The whole place where he lives is just one of a kind, you can see the snowy mountains and the chalaadi glacier. If you are coming to Mestia and want to have a peaceful stay with great views and natural ingredients (from a garden) in your food and have hiking trails at your doorstep, this is the place!

Great place to stay with an amazing view from their terrace and is very near to Kutaisi Airport. I would stay again when on my next visit to Kutaisi.

Bardzo dobre miejsce, aby spędzić trochę czasu w Mestii. Nie jest to centrum, więc jest spokojnie i cicho. Zaraz obok niesamowite muzeum, polecamy. Uwaga: google maps źle kierują, najlepiej jechać tak długo jak się da główną drogą przez Mestia, dopiero skręcając przy "rondzie".

Thank you for the opportunity to visit a real Svan house. Very clean and organized, our room had all we needed for a comfortable stay, including a private bathroom. We had use of the family's kitchen and prepared a couple of meals, but Luka's mom can create wonderful authentic cuisine too! The owner Luka is a truly unique person with diverse talents and he even showed me how to box on the punching bag!! We were surrounded by care and attention. The house has a very cozy atmosphere and there is everything you need. We also bought souvenir salt and will remember our stay at this wonderful place each time we use our Svan salt from Luka and his family. If you are looking for an authentic stay in a real Svan home, then do not miss this opportunity to visit Luka and his family.

We had such an amazing time at Luka's place. A bit of a walk from Mestia's center but the host was super cute and the host and his family were all so warm and welcoming, the food was so good, and Luka gave us great tips and reccomendations in the area. Overall amazing stay.
