25 minutes on the train from Canterbury West takes you to the seafront in Margate. There is a large gallery (Turner Contemporary) a vintage funfair at Dreamland and countless bars and restaurants. The train to Margate stops en route in Ramsgate and Broadstairs which are also worth exploring.
